I saw some hair dyes this morning - they had a vivid red, a pink and a silver. I want to go silver/platinum but I'm not sure if I trust £1 dye! (It should be okay, Poundland's other products are the real deal, I'm just a bit nervous!)
Would you?Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
Tbh silver is a hard colour to get right, I'd be bleaching it out properly, any trace of yellow is going to ruin all your hard work. Then its a case of layering tints (mostly lavender based) and using a good silver/purple shampoo to maintain it.0

Someone posted earlier in this thread about those dyes and shared a photo of her rather fab looking silver hair. Have a search and see what you think.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Saw a whole display of classic book titles (like the penguin classics collection) The only one I actually remember was Frankenstein, oddly they were in the food section which is downstairs in my local store - while all the other books are upstairs.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

Unfortunately, I asked in B&Q, Parkhead today and was told they don't sell it (may be store specific?). Looks like I'll just have to try the rainwater option..but the up side is there's plenty in Glasgow!

Ooh I'll have a look. I haven't read this thread from top to bottom so I'll start tomorrow as I haven't much else to do (apart from a root canal appointment!)kitschkitty wrote: »Saw a whole display of classic book titles (like the penguin classics collection) The only one I actually remember was Frankenstein, oddly they were in the food section which is downstairs in my local store - while all the other books are upstairs.
I'll have to get that, I started reading Frankenstein online the other week, but I really prefer lazing in bed or in the garden with a real book.:)
Our Poundland had a series of books on famous serial killers! :rotfl:Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -

Just looked back and the pic is in post #4544. Expect the other posts about it are within a page or two either side. I wanted the purple one, but when I finally found it, it said not suitable for dark brown hair. Never mind...I'll try a different brand.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
