Thanks to whoever posted about the Floriography hand cream. Picked up some in Uxbridge today (still quite a few Chamomile & Verbena left there). I'm going to use some in 'Pampered Gardener' themed hampers, filling trugs with goodies, and these creams will be perfect! :)

What a lovely idea. I think I've seen gardening mugs with lids in Poundland before now, then there's gloves, a dibber, twine - and perhaps some floral/herbal/fruit teas?

    I've been Money Tipped!

Thank you! They're exactly the type of things I had in mind :)

I also saw some painted metal bucket planters in PL today - I may go back to get some to use instead of trugs, to fill with gardening goodies. They had white, bright yellow and bright green ones...I think white would look good for a classic/old-fashioned style mini hamper.

Today, from Argyle Street, Glasgow, Poundland:

Bloc Candy 100% Natural Jelly Bean Lovehearts: http://images.mysupermarket.co.uk/Products_1000/7/251207.jpg

They've also got Bloc Candy Jelly Babies in a blue packet. They seem to be in Asda (£1.88 or 2 for £3), maybe other places?

Spotted Signature Mature Cheddar (ready-grated) in 160g pouches, not seen or tried that before so put it in my basket.

I regularly buy 125g Douwe Egberts Ground Coffee from this Poundland too (for Filter Machines but it's fine in Cafetieres too), though it's the only branch I've seen it in. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/NEW-DOUWE-EGBERTS-GROUND-COFFEE-MEDIUM-3-ROAST-BB-4-14-125g-FOR-FILTER-MACHINES-/03/!C!51R8g!2k~$(KGrHqIOKiYE0D7!,ErOBNFGULIfZg~~_35.JPG

Finally saw some Horrid Henry books today! In the Luton branch
They are quite thin and I'd say about 1/3 of the thickness of the versions that retail for £10 in whsmiths. Still a good price though, I bought 4 for my little cousin's birthday present.
They had 5 titles in total:
    Horrid Henry
    (H.H and )the Mummy's curse
    ^^ Haunted House
    H.H's Joke Book
    ^^ Mighty Joke Book

Also picked up some Poundland's own brand ('Signalex'?) headphones, they are white and are in ear style with a diamante stud? sounds tacky but they actually don't look very 'Apple' lol. I needed some cheap ones to use in the library and they're great, the sound doesn't come through :)
They had some of this Maybelline Eye studio eyeshadow too:

It's the same price on FragranceDirect but still, highly pigmented, and glittery!
  • I spotted some cute "Easter Make-and-Do" books yesterday. Full of stickers and press-outs. Nice little extra for my DGDs. Rrp on the back £4.99.

  • Today in Connswater (Northern Ireland) . . . .

Posh Wash Sweet Cinnamon Bath and Shower gel RRP £6.99. This was the only scent they had, I bought two for Christmas gifts, they look like this - http://www.skybot.co.uk/posh-wash-sweet-cinnamon-bath-shower.html

Also this beautiful coffee table book - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dress-Diana-David-Elizabeth-Emanuel/dp/1862057494 RRP £25 but sold on Amazon for £21.25. It really is a lovely book and huge.

Picked up a couple more Floriography but still no Sweet Pea and Peony.

Darlington had the Posh Wash too - hadn't realised it was such a high RRP! I would love to sniff the Sweet Cinnamon but the bottles are sealed.

Oooh I do wish I could pop in Poundland on a daily basis - by the time I spot bargains on here and get into town they are gone! Still lots of the Rose Floriography in Keighley but the Sweet Pea and Peony scent all gone - glad I stocked up my present box whilst they had it! Hope they still have some Posh Wash left at the weekend it sounds lovely.

  • I haven't smelt it either but I'm tempted, I have to remember they were bought for gifts not me :) Cinnamon is bound to be nice at Christmas I figure. If anyone is in over the next few days can you keep an eye out for other scents please?

Talking of seals mccullogh29, last week I bought a Floriography, brought it home opened it and it appeared to have been "tested" in store. It wasnt half empty or anything but it would have been embarrassing to give as a gift so I've learnt my lesson and will be taking a peek inside the boxes from now on.

On a side note do we need to start a new thread on Grabbit? Im a newbie so a bit confused. Not sure if an admin will move this back or if it got too long so now we start a new one?
