I read a good tip for that on these forums many years ago - write it on your November page of your calendar or diary!

That is a brilliant idea. I try to keep everything in the same place but it doesn't always work, a few days before Christmas I was searching high and low for various things I had bought throughout the year. I am trying to do better this year.

  • I spotted the Espirit Eyeshadow Quads in Poundland and was in two minds about whether to try them out.

I'm glad I resisted because I picked them up in The 99p Store - TWO for 99p!

I got them in "Golden Eyes" and "Australian Blush"

Thanks for the tip on making a note of stash places on the calendar - that IS a good idea! Not to be used in households with children though, I guess - they would soon hunt out the goodies!

Just got back from my fairly regular Friday trip to Poundland in Darlington.

Darlington have both the Sweet Pea and Peony and Tea Rose 75 ml Floriography hand creams. Beautiful packaging, as mentioned. The Lily and Apple Blossom variant is £7.95 online.

A 'The Who' mug like this , boxed. Couldn't see any other bands, but they may be in other stores.

Radox Bath Smoothies Spirit Booster. 250 ml. £3.15 in Mr B's.

Books were a bit disappointing this week. Good range of cookbooks, but the actual recipes looked a bit meh. Included Gluten-free and diabetic ones though, so a good find for the right person perhaps.

Bloo Max Cistern Blocks, Citrus and Blue, along with ordinary Bloo blocks in BOGOF packs.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Thanks to the person who mentiond the floriography. I think I saw it on this list, but can't find the post and I would like to push the "thanks" button. I saw Sweet Pea and Peony (in your face smell) and Lily and Apple Blossom (sweet subtle smell). I got one of each to suit my mood:D

I also saw Pro-Derma innovations 3D lift Deep Wrinkle Eraser 30ml. This one:-
    http://www.mellorandrussell.com/collections/skincare-collections/3d-lift/3d-lift-wrinkle-eraser.html £3.99 on that site.
Bought one but haven't tried it.

It is a great idea. Too late for me this year though as I already have stuff stashed everywhere. :o One year I was searching until 5am Christmas morning for my stepdads present, a tiny digital photo keyring! Did find it in the end but was rather tired lol.

I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one who does that. But I have no excuse as I only buy presents in December!

Last Christmas I lost part of OH present, the latest book by his favourite author, I searched everywhere I could think of in the days leading up to Christmas, as the big day drew nearer I told our house guests what it was and to keep an eye out for it, still no luck, on Christmas day I let OH know I had mislaid part of his present, but not what it was, children joined in the search eventually I found the book on 2nd January whilst OH was packing his bag to return to work (works away from home a few nights a week), I offered to take his luggage to the car and slipped the present into his bag for him to find that evening. He was very happy with his present, just a shame he received over a week late. Think from now on I will wrap his present as soon as I can and hide them some where less obscure :D

I stocked up on the Floriography hand creams for christmas and birthdays too! Great minds think alike hehe
In Luton store they also had:
L'oreal Nutri-Sun 12 Hour face moisturising fluid (gradual tan moisturiser) I picked up a few of these for presents :)
They also had some mens toiletries by The Real Shaving Company
They had the shaving balm and facial scrub. I bought a matching moisturiser in the 99p store so that's one present sorted for £2.99!
