Darlington Poundland had a small range of kids' books/activity books at 3 for £1 - for around 8-12 years. Great for half term.
Didn't see the Cath Kidston style mugs but lots of very attractive ones nonetheless.
Small bottles of Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo/conditioner, Gliss shampoo/conditioners and cute little 50 ml mini jars of Nivea caught my eye.
Other brand names spotted: Bottles of liquid Vanish stain remover, Ace laundry bleach and Cilit Bang floor cleaner.

I've been looking for a new washing up bowl for a while and they had these in (in grey only) along with very sturdy mop buckets.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Chelmsford Poundland has had lots of bottles of Corine de Farme baby shampoo (sensitive). I was in France earlier in the week and saw the same stuff for 4euro.

Just a thought- in my town centre you can hire mobility buggies ;)

DD's mate used one after foot surgery - she was going stir crazy and her mum suggested it.

the main shopping center do them, but you cant get them in most of the shops outside of it so its pointless. but thanks for the idea.

Poundland today I picked up a set of Corgi Team GB Racers just like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corgi-TY62327-Team-Blue-Convertible/dp/B0052DP8O8

They were 2 for £1 and 20 to collect - lots left - so if you can find a full set, £10 the lot. Great for (big!) kids who are car mad or just those have been been collecting Olympic stuff. They were at the front of the shop in a deep basket type thingy, not with the toys.

Also they have the Rose bushes in stock now (look like dead twigs but seem to do ok!)
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Ah ha, I manage to kill most things but these are one of the few plants that seem to do well in our awful clay soil.
