:)Popped in again today
They had Collection 2000 big fake lash mascara and last week they had a Rimmel comb mascara (i bought one in brown even though i have balck hair just because its cheap lol), went back and bought another one when they had Black, but I also bought a chicken sandwich half price, when I finished the sandwich I threw the whole bag away ::mad:
Anyway, near the front of the store they had lots of Colgate 360 toothbrushes0 -
In the abbey center store today I picked up 2 vintage style kelloggs cereal bowls. They are the glass ones with lovely vintage style images, I cant post a link to them on Amazon as I am a new user. I got the rice krispies and corn flakes ones, I think they have been mentioned before but then went oos for a good while.
I also got 3 of the rose bushes so hoping they will grow for me!
Saw but didnt buy beautiful teal green glass vases and decorative bowls which claimed to be handmade. They were very heavy translucent glass with a marbled effect. I don't need anything else to collect dust but they seemed good quality and a bit unusual.
Still haven't managed to pick up any Nerds or Gobstoppers as they are always oos for me. just bad timing I think as all the stores I have tried do have the retro sweets signs and display. I did get a big bag of wham mini bars which went far too quickly:)
Oh and finally Andrew Collinge Purity shampoo and conditioner 250ml which is £4.99 rrp. The bottle says 2010 award winner so I am guessing its pretty old stock and I think the range has even been discontinued now. I wish I had known more about this range when I was in store as a quick google indicates that this is a sulphate free shampoo and they usually cost quite a lot.0 -
Poundworld in Colwyn Bay had Breo XL watches in. Mixed reviews, but handy for those who may need a watch when doing sport, etc.0

Loads of Books in the Portsmouth branch today inc I want my Mummy - one of the Little princess (of I want my potty fame) books - I thought it might make a nice mothers day prezzie.
Loads of paperbacks at 2 for a quid including A Clockwork Orange (would have bought it if I didn't already own it).
Current 4 packs of choccy bars were the Cadburys caramel nibbles (like chocolate buttons) and twisted cream egg bars.
2 bags of Jacobs Oddities (cheese) for a quid - normally cost about £1.40 a bag.
As it happens I didn't buy anything at all though!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -

thanks
Saw them in Blackburn, they were with the electronics cables and phone covers. Reviews are terrible on them though, you'll apparently be lucky to get a few weeks life out of them (which is why I suppose they ended up in Poundland...)0 -

Copied most of this from my post on the No Buying Toiletries thread.
Andrew Collinge Purity Volume Therapy sulphate -free conditioner for fine, limp hair. I think it's been withdrawn now, but the only price reference I could find was £4.99. So a really good buy.
They also had a same make variant for dry, damaged hair.
Pure Exfoliating Wipes pack of 20 x 2.
Also a new type is in - 3 or 2 in 1 for make-up removal.
I bought a Bio Oil type product - 'Rescue Oil'.
I also picked up a Rimmel Mocha Cream lipstick - quite a strong brown.
Really vibrant purple metallic case that is easy to spot.
They had various Rimmel bits and pieces but most products were their own 'Chit-Chat' line.
Something I noticed going round the shop - some very well-dressed customers, picking up the brand name products - especially medications and cleaning materials.
I also focus on brand names as my 'best buys' in PL - I bought some Garnier hair putty for my son (label in German) , Soreen malt loaves x 2, Cadbury's Brunch Bars, a huge bag of Maoam fruit chews and some Scholl support socks as well as the toiletries.
Plus a BBC 'book of the TV series' on The Truth About Food - and one on the Badminton Horse Trials. ("Badminton Revisited - An Anecdotal History")
For metal music fans, a biography of Megadeth's Dave Mustaine looked newly in.
Food - For Tayto Velvet Crunch fans, they had the Salt and Vinegar five packs in, as well as the Thai Sweet Chilli.
- 2 tins tuna chunks/flakes for £1, 3 Mugshots ditto, and several varieties of Dorset Cereals - c. 450 g size boxes. A 3 for £2 offer on Tilda rices, various types.
Stationery - quite a good range of BIC products, inc 9 'guaranteed to write' stick-style medium nib black pens.
Gardening - LOADS of choice in summer-flowering bulbs, and lots of perennials.
I bought Lily of the Valley x 4 and double freesias x 25.
Also lots of Mother's Day bits and pieces in, some tacky, some nice - looked to be going quickly.
Good buys looked to be a 'Keep Calm' style teatowel and apron (separately, not a set),fancy rubber gloves and a pretty little water ball. (Snowdome)Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
