Bought a small version of etch-a-sketch (unbranded though) for DD and she loves it. The pen is a magnet and we lost the one from the first set so I went back and bought two more today from Poundland. I suspect we could have bought a full priced EAS by the time we are finished with these pound versions!!

Have found that the adults in our family enjoy playing with it as much as DD...

There were some Esprit lipglosses (in tubes) and nail varnishes; no idea if they're any good but they went in the basket too. Well-regarded here (blog is from 2010) but the link to the Esprit make-up site is dead now. http://www.makeup4all.com/esprit-cosmetics-would-you-give-it-a-try/
I bought the Esprit nail varnish; a clear one with pale translucent glitter, and it is a gorgeous and hard-wearing top coat that adds a bit of shimmer to your nails. Would definitely recommend!

Bought a Beauty Formulas Organic Aloe Vera Gel at my local store. There were a few left. They usually retail for approx £3.99.
    .

Thanks, I bought a few of these today as aloe vera gel is a great aftersun.
I was going to buy more as the price is less than half that Holland & Barrat charges, but when I checked the label of the one from Poundland it only has 50% aloe vera gel in it, whereas the Holland & Barrat one is 99%.
Still ok for a pound though.

Bought an olbas vaporiser today. Comes in a box includes the 2 batteries needed in the box and also has 3 refills. It is like a small gentle fan and sends the menthol smell lightly into
The air. Really good, have tried it already. Also bought Scholl cool foot remedy in a white spray can - to revive tired feet - lovely. X

Had another look today. Saw Scholl gel toe separators, nivea lip balms (like chap sticks) original and rose shine variety, and Hovis home bake granary rolls and bloomer loafs.

I had gone in to pick up two packs of Mr Kipling cherry bakewells on 2 for £1 (they did have a good range of Mr Kipling including Almond slices, lemon slices in the individual packs and pineapple slices) At the till I was told to get another pack as they are 3 for £2. I questioned her saying I thought it was 2 for £1 but she was sure. I dutifully got another pack but the receipt still says 'Mr Kipling 2 for 1" and I was charged £1 for the extra one. I think she got mixed up or else they were trying to get rid of them extra quick (exp. date 17th June). Works out at 66p a pack instead of 50p a pack if I had got the 2 for 1 offer. Slightly annoyed as it's not as good a deal...but I suppose I will eat them all...:o

Wish I'd seen the Olbas vaporiser...

I picked up one of the hair goody bags today, I bought it just for the clamp as it was the cheapest way I could find to buy one but the half round thing I thought was a slide is actually a pony tail band which I'll also use and DH spotted a James Blunt cd, made my day :D

Not sure if this has been posted already but the Rugby branch yesterday had packs of three collection 2000 foundations , these were full size tubes and different shades available.

    Hope that helps someone
If its not cheap and its not free I don't want it and I will wait till it is :p

Some very good books on offer at 3 for £1 inc. a Magnus Mills (I have his The Restraint of Beasts) and a Roman Mysteries quiz book for children.

Great range of men's socks for Father's Day and some nice ladies' over-the-knee socks too.

A relatively up to date interesting reference/real life book for adults and older children, The Bumper Book of Bravery - £11.49 on Amazon with 3 reviews, all 5 stars.

Spotted a USB charger for Sony Ericsonn phones and a good range of sturdy iPhone 4 covers.

Vaseline Essential Care lotion 200 ml - this is a really, really good lotion, worth getting.

Oxy stain remover 500 ml tubs have 25% free - 625ml . This is a brilliant stain remover and the equal of far more expensive products.
