Mystery solved - I wondered where my elderly mother found the mask.
We have a family/friends get together on Monday - guess what she'll be wearing?I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Found these in the 99p store this morning (I know this is the pound land thread but I can't find the 99p one so apologies if this upsets anyone!).
1 litre Finish rinse aid for dish washers. This is very cheap compared to the supermarkets. It's branded as Calgonit and is in Dutch / French. It also does boxes of (15 I think) Finish dish washer tablets.
Dettol shower gels in a box with a free sponge. Not tried these before but seemed like good value as I couldn't find the Radox shower smoothies in pound land that I was looking for.
Ketchup flavour Pringles, not seen them in that flavour in the UK before, they seem to be Belgian ones.0 -

I also think you were probably just unlucky. I was thinking the exact opposite on visiting my local store yesterday - loads of great things at the mo, especially the summer seasonal items....I bought some lovely coloured glass tealight holders for the garden which look like they're from Debenhams or Next etc and also some cute little ice cream bowls with spoons from their large picnicware range. I've also seen lots of great camping items which look particularly good value.
Hope you have better luck next time0 -
Cupcake boxes spotted today in Plymouth poundland:

I had a very grumpy toddler with me today and didn't get chance to look properly. I will have a proper look tomorrow, we are getting our DD a sand & water table for her birthday in a couple of weeks, so I think I will buy a bag and see what it is like. It was in the summer fun section.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.
