Home Bargains had the single ones at 10p each, the caramel ones too. We got a few as a feet :-)
. I took my first trip into a HB store today - selling a box of 6 for £1 now, although they do sell a lot of similar stuff to Poundland.

lol ruth_honey - I just had to double check which thread I was reading :rotfl:
I used to LOVE push pops - must pay a visit to mine next week, I didn't see any in there this week.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I couldn't see the Push Pops, but did trot out with some good stuff.
A jar of Whole Earth chocolate and caramel spread, utterly yummy, a huge selection of cakes that could easily pass for home-made, including a very tempting carrot cake.
Yummy Velvet crunch - Thai sweet chilli and a cheesy variety.
Some good new books in, I bought 'Say What: New Words Around Town' by Keith Barker Main, an entertaining read from the guy who writes so well for Metro. Still lots of Horrid Henry in too.
Some M & M candles for candle fans, make a nice gift.
Huge bags of wild bird food.
Not spotted before: rechargeable AA sized batteries. The AAA ones work really well. I usually use the Duracell ones but they are very good.
I can really recommend the 40 pack scented little pedal bin liners, lovely scent and good strong liners. Most liners made for little bins are so flimsy. The scents are very pleasant - I got Vanilla.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I spotted Radox Shower Smoothies Spirit Booster in my local store yesterday, they retail for £2.95 in Boots!

Lovely large 'shopper' bags in my local store today (think it's new stock as they didn't have them on Sunday). Pink and white/cream floral & dotty Union Jack design - very shabby chic style, very pretty.
They're made from that finely woven recycled plastic coated type stuff, like potato planter bags, if you know what I mean. They're not super thick but I carried lots of heavy shopping in mine and they held up well. Well worth a look0 -
My town doesn't have a Poundland, so when I go to a town that does I usually end up buying a fair bit
However, I went into PL on Monday and there was nothing I thought was that good, I ended up buying the bag of Scampi Fries/Bacon Rashers and a mask of the Queen. I have to say I was very dissapointed in the selection available.
Has anyone else noticed a drop in quality or was I just unlucky?0 -
I think you were unlucky, JW, there was a lot in my Poundland that I might have bought - lovely metallic lustre mugs, lots of sturdy camping equipment, oodles of stuff for the garden and so many tempting toiletries.
I'd just bought a straw hat in Primarni, but I could have had one there (though not as nice, admittedly). I was smiling at a little boy of four or so who was so excited over the choice of toys, it was so sweet.
Thanks for the warning about the carrot cakes by the way! They looked so nice too.
Also remember seeing some Jordan's Fruity Porridge, have a cupboard full of cereal so resisted that one but all Jordan's products are yummy imo.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
