It's a long while since Poundland have had 1.5kg of sugar in. Try Tesco - 2kg at about £1.22 (just checked online!) though it was £1.34 last time I bought it.

I had a corker yesterday. Poundland do BOGOFs!! I got 2 pairs of Allure tweezers with an LED light and case. When I got to the till I realised if I got both I'd have no cash for a pretzel for me & DS. The girl on the till noticed the till showing them as BOGOF so one for me and one for mum. From now on if something is on BOGOF they're trying to shift their stock for a reason. One pair has dodgy batteries (the watch type ones) and both of them are useless at grabbing hairs.

I don't think I'll be giving these to my mum after all!

Picked up a crystal nail file set, a full size 1 and a dinky wee 1 that's perfect for popping in my handbag. Only used it once but it seems quite good.

Also (not in the refurb section) I got "Wrestle Poodles...and Win; the Tiger's Head Days" a live album by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band in Poundland. Be warned though; it's a great album if you want to hear the Bonzos but ignore the text at the back (and pictures inside) of 'Special Guests' Stephen Fry, Phill Jupitus, Adrian Edmondson and Paul Merton as they do NOT appear on the CD (at least, I can't hear them and I would have thought they would have been introduced at some point in the recording!)
