I'll let you know how good they are after a bbq! They're probably about the size of a tennis ball and are white when they're turned off, I think they'll look really nice when the sun goes down on the table.0 -
local 99p store had some nice oven dishes, and toothpaste&brush set, with free mouthwash wrapped to it as well.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Basildon Poundland also had the refurbed CD's mentioned above!
Also (not in the refurb section) I got "Wrestle Poodles...and Win; the Tiger's Head Days" a live album by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band in Poundland. Be warned though; it's a great album if you want to hear the Bonzos but ignore the text at the back (and pictures inside) of 'Special Guests' Stephen Fry, Phill Jupitus, Adrian Edmondson and Paul Merton as they do NOT appear on the CD (at least, I can't hear them and I would have thought they would have been introduced at some point in the recording!)

Found 1.5kg bag of bird seed in Milton Keynes poundland, they have smaller 'bill oddie' branded bags too, but its well worth it, some bird food is expensive! Good for the little birds as lots of babies in our garden over the past week. they also had bird feeders and other things like that too0

Poundland were doing a pack of 3 round clip and lock plastic boxes. The smaller ones fit in the big box. Ideal for use as a geocache.0

got that today (well yesterday) after seeing recommended elsewhere last time it turned p in poundlands last year or so - going by wikipedia the original release was a double album, the guests/new members are probably on disc 2

If you see the reformed Bonzo's album Pour L'amour Des Chiens there that's worth getting too - def features Stephen Fry & Adrian Edmondson & includes archive enhanced interview & performance videos of the original band. (very cut down/budget packaging, just an front & back cover insert - the original/import edition, pos OOP now, had a box, booklet and theextras on a dvd instead of tiny computer videos)"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -
I sent Mrs. s__e up to Poundland on Sunday (unfortunately it was raining, that's why I didn't go myself) in order to get me a few bags of their excellent value 1.5 kilo bags of sugar. The winemaking season is upon us and I get through a fair amount. She returned bedraggled with some feeble excuse about they haven't had any for some time now and they don't know if they're going to have any more. Has anyone else encountered this problem ?
It looks as though my alcohol intake is going to be seriously curtailed unless I can source another favourable supplier. :beer:0
