Our local Poundland has Outdoor Girl eyeshadow quartets in stock. I bought the black/white version, which has a lovely silvery grey shadow in it too. The black shadow I use as an eyeliner (use water and a liner brush). It's as good as the £17 MAC one I've been using for a few years.

The solar stuff is pretty cr4p in all honesty.

I bought the floating solar led balls for the pond last yr...lasted about 3 days, then zip. Same story with the solar spikes [50% failed within 1 week, rest slowly died].

Do be aware that as already mentioned some of the solar stuff has both a little plastic strip [battery isolator] than needs removing, and then a little on/off switch underneath.

I've been lucky with the Poundland solar lights as all mine have worked OK and lasted a couple of years so far. My latest pound shop bargain is a colour changing solar light which has a silver top instead of the usual black.

Last year my MIL bought me 2 colour changing solar lights from an expensive garden centre and only 1 has survived to this year so I think it's worth persevering with the poundland lights.

Spotted set of 4 cocktail spoons, basically long handled teaspoons but they are great for ice cream sundae's and getting to the bottom of tall mug's or jar's, didn't get any as I already have some but just thought I'd mention seeing them as I use mine all the time.

I just bought a packet of 12 HB pencils (red, white and grey packet) with a sharpener and eraser, just for the sharpener really, but to my surprise the pencils are really good quality. I do a bit of drawing (chemistry/physics stuff, not art) and these are good for line drawing or writing, they sharpen nicely and draw smoothly without crumbling or going dull. Much better than the previous yellow poundland pencils, those all went in the bin as they didn't even sharpen properly most the time.

I doubt you can return them without a receipt but have a look on their website, it must be on there
