SOLAR LIGHTS
Looks like it's time to recommend these again - do so every year since discovering them.
Floating ones, ground, rocks, screw-bracket - there's no end to the types and styles, all excellent.
Dave Allen[the lovely, late, lamented] - Carloyn Soutar's biography.
Think I'd like to mention the staff at Cambridge's Grafton Centre Branch, too - thoroughly likeable, stoic, patient and helpful.
I bought four solar light spikes a couple of months ago but none of them work! Which ones do?:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

I presume you removed the small bit of thin white plastic that goes over the end of the battery, to stop them wearing the batteries out and functioning during storage and while on display in the shops?0 -

Been buying garden items from Poundland for 2 or 3 years now, never had anything bad, gloves are far superior to wilko, mini fencing, solar lights, hanging baskets, plants, secutears (?) have all been top quality. I like the latter so much going to be buying half a dozen pairs to keep.
Also spotted garden netting (6mx1.5m i think) which usually costs several quid.0 -
I picked up some thin dvd cases few days back as mplex were out of them, 8 for £1 and they are excellent quality (and each hold 2 disks too!), better in fact than the mplex ones I was going to buy and cheaper too! I know where I will be going in future to buy them0

I bought a couple of solar lights from poundland a couple of years back- one didn't work at all, and the other packed up within a fortnight. Never had a major problem with any of their other stuff though.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0

I'd like to second that for gardening gear, particularly the secateurs. I'm clearing a garden at the moment and have been amazed at what they've cut through. Also the protective fleece and all purpose netting as mentioned. It is 6m x 1.5, I bought some yesterdayThe beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
