I got the Mio 168 (same as the Navman) from Staples for £149.95 inc software and maps.

EDIT - Opened the box and it was either second hand or ex-demo. Either way it was scratched and looked used. As it was to be a gift, I made use of their no quibble returns policy!

  • Hi peeps...

as this offer has just become available again (Navman pin 300) I recommend peeps check to ensure the Navman application installer CD is in the box, the one I ordered for my sister didn't have it included which means you can only access major roads (need the CD to navigate down to minor street level) I didn't even realise it wasn't there until I read a post which someone else had posted about another retailier selling them without it included.

Anyway, I emailed them regarding the missing CD and its arrived today...much to the joy of my sister :)

Oh skr80...it looks like your post was merged into this one....I'm sure peeps will appreciate the fact you've informed them its available again :)

    hi,
have just phoned tesco, and the girl confirmed that the 510 is selling at £228.97.Going to get mine now!

hey, didn't ya trust me?? :D

I've been hoping for a Tesco misprice on the sat nav so I've been keeping my eyes on their prices.

Personally, I'm going to go for the Acer N35 PDA when they bring it down to a more competitive price, because I can use my Tesco vouchers too, and get more points for the purchase (probably with a double points voucher too).

PS, the only stores I've seen sat-nav selling in are Haslingden (Near Rossendale, Manchester) and the one near the Reebok (this is the Horwich one I think).
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

I originally bought the 510 from Tesco but returned it and got a 520 from Staples last week at £249.

Apparently these are also at Argos for the same price but for a limited time.

TBH I can't see much difference between the 510 and 520 except the colour (520 is black) and the maps are on a 256Mb card instead of a 128Mb.

For the Navman PiN, does it come with V3 software(in the title) or version 2(in the description), bit confused.
Secondly, it says it comes with european mapping software, but do you need a key to use it?

Version 3 as stated above, the maps contain european main roads ( as i understand it ), but detailed mapping in UK and Ireland only ( the detailed maps are on the CD previously mentioned, which is included in the box with the dabs.com PiN 300's :) ).

Oh, and i can confirm the GPS firmware update works a treat :)
