Help No Washing powder left-No Money

Sometimes when out of powder I've used a couple of tablespoons of stardrops in the washing machine. This quantity didn't over-foam and everything came out clean.

Elsewhere

I use soapflakes in my washing machine occasionally - we live in a hard water area, however, so there is not much foam. (I used to buy them but now just grate a bar of soap with the cheesegrater)

I just run my clothes in the washing machine with nothing in the water alone does the job for me
