Hello everyone:hello:
As a member of the afore-mentioned ex wife club I sympathise with anyone going through cr*p. It does get better, honestly. Just keep your chin up, apply lipstick (if you like it) and smile. It really gets to them. I remember someone once telling me that my ex said he couldn't believe how strong I was being. YES!! He was such a bully and it gave me a boost to really believe in myself. Keep on keeping on folks.
Hello to new posters:hello: This is a lovely friendly place to meet up.
Have WM on at a 30oC wash. Been to Mr M for a few things that were handiest for me (and cheaper) to buy from a supermarket although I'n trying to stay out of them and buy more from independent shops. But what do you do when your butcher sells sausages at £3 a pound and Mr M has the Irish ones at less than half price, so about 80p a pack? Well, I have both now and will do a testing some time. Actually I have become a bit bad about serving sausages lately and must cut down. We usually have stewed saus. once a week now. eeek...my arteries.
Tonight's tea is a HM pasta sauce with some bits of smoked bacon I had left over + salad. I bought a really prickly cucumber from a garden yesterday and it's delicious!
Hope everyone has a good day and ((((hugs)))) to those who are poorly or down and troubled.

Up early and went with DD and DH to the orthodontist.
Came back and made DD some soup with thin bread and butter and made low carb brekkie for me and other DD.
Did a quick shop and put some chicken in the oven for later.
Dds have just rescued three loads of washing as it rained heavily and cannot decide now wether to put them back out or not.

Kathy, thank you - yours & everyone else's kind words mean so much. I am always touched by the kindness of the OSers. What is most heart-breaking is how brave they are all trying to be for each other. They're off up the beach shortly, do them good to get out, have a distraction & get some fresh air I think.
Candygirl, how exciting having the pram arrive - where are you going to store it????? And what a terrible way for her to lose a colleague
There seems to be so much sadness about at the moment.
Dazi, oops!!! Put the phone out to sunbathe - maybe that will cure it...?!?
Shez, welcome back - sounds like you had a lovely time too

Dazi, I was beginning to wonder what you had lost in the washer

Shez, welcome home, glad you enjoyed yourselves. I find that looking at houses where distant relatives lived is fascinating. There is a picture of one of my GGGGGgreat grandfathers in Blackburn in the museum/gallery thing, he was a bandmaster and to see him in 'the flesh' was amazing.

Afternoon all
Donny, yes I did see the program, personally I think if it was legalised it would offer some protection for the girls involved & I think the W.I is the best sort of organisation to have a bash at getting it done.
Thanks Elona, I think I'll print it off & post it next time.
Hubby was home by 12, the job went quicker than expected, he is working somewhere different tomorrow.
I decided to do my roots y'day & I seem to have adopted the badger look, my main parting is very blonde, the next couple of inches are darker & then the rest is lighter again, oh well, no one's going to stop a galloping horse to look at it.
Hugs Hester

I agree totally H-H the NZ model appeared to be the best (they weren't young though were they), at least that way a guy wasn't taking 50% of the girls earnings for doing "nowt". I hope they can do something, but the two that went were a little naive to say the least. A think a little background reading before they went may have saved them a blush or two, and as ever there were those who wanted to brush it under the carpet. It happens, it has always happened, and there will always be some who are prepared (or need) to do it, and always some punters who need/want it. It would be safer all round to have it legalised, both from the protection of the girls front, and the disease control issue. She didn't bother with the marbles though!
I think the answer on the hair is next time about 10 minutes before the end of the time, just comb it through the rest of the hair and it will lighten it a little to match in with the new roots. That is what the hairdresser seems to do to mine when it starts to darken a little lower down.

Hello All
hope you have had a good day
we were woken up with a phone call this morning telling us that we had rats(small rats) under our shed ,,, DH went barmy as it was the stoopid next door neighbour phoning up to ask what we are doing about it,,( he puts corn and seed down on the ground to feed the wood pigeons,,
we have large mice under the shed,, not rats,, and they are better there than in the house I say,, we dont feed them
I made the curry this morning,,
then took DH to the doctors where he got a prescription,, so off we toodles to MrT's to get it ..
as it was just after one o'clock we had to wait an hour for the pharmacy to open,, so we had a coffee,, picked up the prescription and headed home,,
on the way home remembered I had not the tax disc for the car so we detoured to get it and then found out we did not have any documents in the car,, so we went home,,
, to find the curry still on the hob with the gas still on,,,the smell of burning was atrocious,,It had tasted nice when we went out but now will have to throw it away,,
After that I took the documents down to the post office only to find out that the dvla had sent the wrong logbook back,,,, so did not get my tax disc,,,
therefore phoned them up and was on the phone for 14minutes,,, luckily I had gone through SAYNOTO0870 so it did not cost me anything to phone,,
they thought they had sent out the right documents so after a while he did my tax over the phone which will take 4-5 working days,,
and he will send me the correct documents out in the post as well
so have had a hectic day...........................and no curry

Hello everyone,
Sorry I've been absent for a few days. Just trying to catch up with all that's been happening - (((((HUGS)))) to all who've been going through rough times. There seems to be so much sadness, bereavement and family strife at the mo.
Yeah, I qualify for the "I was married to a wonker" club, too. Luckily mine never knew where I moved to; the Judge allowed me to keep my address secret. And please can Mr LW be in the "I was married to a wonkeress" club? Honestly, that woman was such a PITA - twelve years after he'd divorced her!!!! - we ended up changing the phone numbers so that she couldn't keep making nasty calls. She had a major, major hissy fit because he'd finally found someone who made him happy. Dog in the manger or what?? OK rant over!;)
Molly Dog went home yesterday - I don't know where the last 10 days have gone! The house seems horribly empty now, no little furry black face watching me. I'll have to hope her humans go on holiday again soon.:D
I haven't been able to eat for two days - living on soup and yogurt, as I have a massive crop of mouth ulcers. I just hope I lose a bit of weight while I'm at it.... Am still making a quiche for Mr LW's dinner though.
OK, I have to go and do a few more things towards making the aforementioned quiche, some bread rolls and some cakes, and then browse the boards a bit.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
