:hello: Good morning!
Looks like we are going to have a lovely sunny day so must get the bedding in the wash and drying on the line. Lots of housework to do today as we had a lazy weekend.
Penny has left a trail of stuffing to pick up from the new toy, it is amazing just how much stuffing goes into these little toys. Think we will stick to tennis balls from now on.:D
(((hugs))) to Squiggly - my sons year group lost several young friends and it did have a deep effect on them, they all grew up that much sooner and are a close knit group as well. (((hugs))) to PP, Mrs Mix, Jayward, Candygirl, Catowen, Beth and Smoky.
Need to go walk Penny and then grate some courgettes for the freezer (can then be used in muffins apparently! We are awash with courgettes this year and had our first picking of runner beans yesterday. Still trying to find the bottom of our chest freezer though!
Have a lovely day
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

OH left at 7 this morning for his drive to work, cos he only passed on friday I am worried about him being out on his own, so asked him to ring me once he arrived, no phone call so I rang him, no answer, I was starting to get worried, he eventually phoned to say 'oh sorry I forgot I was tuning the radio ' men eh ?
I have my mums dog here, she stayed over last night, my dad had to go into hospital this morning for a minor op, something to do with the bottom area, so not nice for him
Lamb chops, mash and veg for tea. I think dd wants to go into town, so will do that later, and then get in the garden and plant my veggies.
CAT sorry to hear the exoh is being a pain, I once asked my dd's dad to buy her a pair of wellies when they were out, he did do but got the cheapest pair he could £2.99, and asked me for the money back:rolleyes: , its pathetic really.

Morning all
Bit of a damp squid weekend here, worked on Saturday, and woke up in the middle of the night with a streaming nose, and it carried on all day yesterday. Feeling much better this morning, but meant that I didn't really do anything yesterday
Chicken for dinner, it should have been yesterday's dinner, but couldn't be bothered to cook it.
Popping back down to Matalan, got a few things in the sale - bought DH some Wolsey jumpers reduced from £16 to £4, and never thought about getting one for BIL for Christmas
Haven't read through yesterdays thread yet, but sounds as though some of you are having problems with ex's, so hugs if you need them xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Oh Catowen - poor you and dd - and a big welcome to the "We Accidentally Married Wonkers Support Group" - there's a few on here sadly and I'm a repeat offender - sigh
Squiggly so sorry to hear your news too.
exbil called last night to say that dd(11) wasn't well in a spectacular and technicolour way during a bike ride - he blames the heat but I think the enormous slushy that preceeded was at least a contribution - she's not used to such riches. She's been really good at updating her blog every day so I can at least see what she's up to.
Oh well - off to w*rk in a bit. We're having our monthly Post-Payday Let's Get Lunch In Extravaganza today but I'm in court and my judge is notoriously slow so I hope I don't miss out.
have a good dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all!
Catowen - Sorry that your ex is being such a pr*t, never mind what he want its whats best for your DD thats important, hope she's not too upset today x

Am still suffering with a stinking cold:hello: - not had one for ages since I started to take garlic capsules, am thinking of having tomorrow off work, dont want to spread it round work.
heard some sad news yesterday, one of the old ladies I do some cleaning for has passed away in hospital with kidney failure, been hanging on for 2 weeks, she was a tough old bird in her 90's. She had no family but was a vicars widow so the church has bee helping to support her. Luckily her cat(a rescue cat) has found a good home with a church member.
DS1 starts his new job today, its with a company he worked for before so he should be fine, will text him later to see how its going.
anyhow I've been mioliering a bit so will get off for a browse;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -

Good morning - may I pop in?
I am desperately trying to reduce my food bills, so of course I came on here. You seem a very friendly lot.
I am a middle aged lady with an eighteen month old son (little bear) who is the light of my life and a darling husband who has driven me scatty over the weekend. I don't work, although my darling does.
Today is going to be a very busy day. I am feeling poorly and cannot do much, but I need to clear a path through the wreckage of my housekeeping
to take delivery of a bed and three mattresses. Little bear has been suffering from heat rash, but fingers crossed I should be able to finally take him out for a walk this morning.
I also want to say that I think Twink's hobnobs have been helping me lose weight. I have been eating them instead of chocolate and now my jeans are falling down. I have never come across a diet book that told you to eat cakes to lose weight, but I think that I may have made a breakthrough
So I HAVE to bake today, along with all the other stuff, to make the stuff that keeps me losing weight.
I am sorry to hear of the troubles of the lovely people on here. Catsowen - you are obviously doing all you can do for your daughter. I hope it all works out for her, and I wish you luck.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Morning all, hugs to those that need them.
Squiggly, that's really tragic and very sad for your DD
Dazi - hugs for you. It must be really hard for you and quite sad for your OH. Material things shouldn't matter like that and they certainly aren't a token or measure of love and affection.
catowen - hugs for you and your DD
Life is quite here, I'm still writing, albeit slowly and I can't get motivated at all to work any harder. OH's estranged wife is being a PITA and I really don't need this eight weeks before my thesis is due. He's offered as large a settlement as he can in order to end all this rubbish and now she's decided to accept on the condition she gets to drag me into the mess. OH (luckily) is about to refuse to pay anything if she does this though. I wouldn't care if I'd actually done what I'm being accused of   . Ah well, I'm sure it will all come out in the end. I am a far more patient person than either of them and I'm certianly not afraid to fight my corner
I find all this sad, there is truely nothing to fight about. It was his wedding aniversary yesterday. I had to stop him phoning to ask for his other ring back - on the basis the scrap value of platinium is currently very high. Sorry for the rant - I'm just feeling that I spend every day dealing with a bunch of petulent children and the naughty step just isn't big enough for all of them
have a good day all, cel x

Mioliere - as soon as hes finished ill pop him over to you:D
Thanks, Nelski - my favourite so far! A man doing the domestic stuff! I wonder if he'd do my ironing if I made it worth his while?!
KathyXX
Yep - but if he's anything like mine - that will be him putting his laundry in the dishwasher *sighs*
Still, he's very shiny though
:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Catowen - (((Hugs))) to you and your DD; some men are so evil - his daughter's happiness should be all the matters to him. They have no idea what a devastating effect they can have.
Taplady - hope you start feeling better soon.
Beth - have a lovely time!
RedRuby - I found that the very first drive on my own once I'd passed my test was the worst. As it turned out, I got lost and the temptation to call someone for help was great but I sat in the car for half an hour to calm down and get my bearings and found my own way home! I always say the real learning to drive comes after the test!
It's a beautiful start to the day here; the sun is shining so I hope it stays that way. I have two loads for the WM which I want to peg out if I can.
I have to go out to the village to go to the bank and then get some milk. I keep meaning to go to the gym - I haven't been for ages because there's such a lot to do. I'm going to wait until THE WEDDING is over and then start going again. Guess what I'll be doing later today? I bet you can't. I shall be doing b****y wedding favours! We are having a rehearsal at the church on Wednesday evening and DIL to-be wants parents to go as well and, as she's becoming very OCD (as she herself puts it!) we will go to help keep her stress levels at bay. DS2 keeps saying 'dunno what all the fuss is about'! but then he gets the easy bit. He's not even stressing about his speech! He's been winding everyone up by saying he might grow a beard for the wedding and things like that, but I told him that my BIL had very long hair when he married my sister - way back in the 70s when it was trendy - and hes's always regretted not having it cut. He hates looking at himself in the wedding photos because he looks so dated.
Anyway, I'm mioliering yet again - I'd better go and get some more chores done.
Have a great day everyone.
