Hi penny - just stumbled on your thread. Bus fares look they are costing you a lot. Is there no weekly pass you can get for either yourself or the kids (is it to and from school for them?)
  • Yeap they are, two kids get two buses each way for school. Am enquiring on Tuesday about the Zero bus passes for them, but we live less then 3 miles from their school, its just that we don't have a direct bus to it.

  • Its my birthday and time to plan 2009

Challenges I am going for so far for 2009 are:

No new stuff for a year (clothing)Apart from underwear.
    Live on £4k (again)
Sealed pot - Target £50 (to buy an evergreen or two to plant on the winter solstice)
100 day Challenge (no take outs) don't know if there is going to be an official one of this one again or not.
Money/gift neutral Winter Solstice. (not celebrating Christmas next year as I am not religious, but am very much into nature, including the seasons.)

I am after doing challenges that all tie in together. When I fancy a take-out, I shall cook something instead, but put the take-out costs into the sealed pot.
Money neutral should tie in well with my £4k challenge, as I will use freebies or Avon commission to get gifts.

    Thank you Taka
In theory I am...lol. my sealed jar still has to be fired at college then glazed. Have already done some bulk buying toiletries for next year (but taking them out of next years budget)

I have paid TOTAL FOR DEBT£3743.30
so far this year, but am only £900 lower for overall amount this year. So really need to get organised and kick my butt into gear for 2009.
