Have just transferred £60 across into my basic account, used the overdraft, but this is in lieu of of my maintence, as ex pays that into a different account and only want to take my basic account card with me on holiday.

Actually cash I have £4.01 to last till we go on holiday on Wednesday. Will have a look what bargains I can find at local store for 2x teas, 1x lunch and 2x breakfasts. Got some roast potatoes and tons of beans in, so think its roast beans and what ever i can find to go with it for tea tonight, then I can unplug freezer so it can defrost whilst I am away (saving on electric usage).

I was a bad girl and ended up taking my credit card which I used to within £60 of its limit. Now holiday is out of the way, it is time to cut the card up as kids have already been informed we are not going on another holiday until I am debt free and the holiday is saved up for to be paid in whole first.

Tomorrow I need to buy food in, so cant start my NS challenge till then. Also I was bad on holiday and ended up buying some coffee, was on Special in Somerfield, two 100g jars of decaf for price of one at £2 odd, need to unpack receipt yet. so thats my 100 day challenge harmed.

Now I finally have the ice box warmed back up, have set the heating for 7 hours a day, 2 in morning and 5 in evenings, that keeps the house warm when the kids get home from school to going to bed. With the i-measure site I shall start to place that amount of money into special pots to cover the costs over and above my DD payments.

  • Well I finally done it, and I did it on Cam with my mate. I CUT up my credit card. Her reaction was OMG,
    OMFG you actually done it.
Have put the cut up pieces into a sealed envelope. When I get some better scissors will cut it into smaller pieces for saftey reasons. Then stick in another sealed envelope.

  • Been a good girl and called up Sky and cancelled my subscription, so that should cover the costs of my new Electricity payments, which have risen by £10. Also leaves £10 over to go towards extra Gas payments.
Found an avon leaflet on my doorstep yesterday with what I hoped was an area manager (been trying to find out who the local one was since I moved) ended up being a sales rep, but she gave me the number for local area manager, so I have called her and she is going to try and arrange for me a 'territory' so I have more than 5 customers that live 8miles & two buses away from me. So hopefully by new year I can start actually earning some extra cash.
Now to take a walk and pick up a sewing box i saw advertised on freecycle. (after I have had my coffee)

  • Well both phone lines are straight and up to date, so was able to transfer the DD's for them to my Bill Account, instead of them being in my Debt account (couldn't find bill account details when I first set up my phone/broadband lines). Or though I am now skint, I do know that my Child Benefit covers all bills. Just need to call Gas supplier and have them up my DD by £10 a month. in reality should be by £30 but not got that available at the moment.

Update: Well called gas supply and it seems they have upped my DD by £8 anyhow, still had them add the extra £2 so my Gas payments will now be £45 a month. Electric has already upped their DD. So now all bills are up to date coming out of the correct bank account, and should cover majority of my winter usage.

  • Well my dog never eats dog treats/biscuits, anyhow made some oaty biscuits from WWII cookbook, and son dropped one. They are rather hard to eat, have to be soaked in the cuppa first. anyhow Dog picked up the one son dropped and has just ate it with relish, so finally found a treat my dog likes. Think for family will be sticking to twinks oaty recipe.

Do you use Mr A for all your shopping? If so, then I'd strongly recommend you check out myvouchercodes, they always have codes for free delivery if you spend £50 or more... just noticed you pay for delivery...
Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker! :p
  • Thanks for that Buzzbox, only had them deliver twice since Jan 2007 but still good to know how to get their delivery free.

Well Since everyone else is doing it and my mum keeps msning me when its on, have decided to give free bingo a try, had my account since beginning of year. If I win anything with it, can use that for Xmas shopping next year. Will do the free bingo as a money neutral 2009 Christmas.
