Feel I am spending more and more instead of less and less.

  • Just worked december finaces out and it still looks dire, and that I cant get rid of O/D once and for all yet....I know its only £200, but till I have a spare £200 extra in my account, it looks like I will keep dipping into O/D till March time. Fingers crossed Helifax dont decide to remove my O/D at review on 10th of Dec.suppsoe I could try going in and having it raised by £50 now to start a new years date and keeping me safe till catolgue payments go down.
Atleast I already have most of christmas wrapped up 'literally', and that my avon commision for latest campaign covers my spends from avon for next years christmas. Yes I already have all the adult females gifts for next year on order. Leaving just two brothers, one ex (kids dad) his two other kids, and my 3 kids to buy for.

  • Got my college money funding into account today, so have just straightened up my bank accounts. Even with spending diary, not sure how I overspent this month. Yes I am, I got my phone bills straight and transferred them to correct account. Lest that explains for just under £100 of the overspend. Its roughly the other £100 I have no idea over. Not worried so much over O/D being withdrawn now. Infact will do a full workout on paper in a bit, and if I can get past December without needing it, then will go in this afternoon and cancel it myself.

Just checked, and still need an O/D of atleast £105 in for end of December.

  • hi p2mn av read threw your post and would just like to say keep going you will get there in the end and well done for not giving in. :T
  • Thanks bluestaff. Dreading Decembers as have two payments due out for Catalogue. Atleast the huge payments will go down in March to them. Nov 2008 and I am paying for Christmas 2007. So glad I have all but two presents left to buy straight out for this year, and that I have used my Avon comission to get most of the adults gifts for next year. By Christmas next year, Catalogue will be clear, but will have a good commision on it, so will use my commision to buy kids presents for next year, then close the account.

  • Just been working out my debt totals as final payment of month came out today, and I still seem to have gone up by £25 in total.

Therefore my aim is to get my total debt down to £4500 for beginning of 2009.

Also last night I did my bulk buy of shampoo/conditioner, and toothpaste for the coming year. Cost me just over £73, but saved £42, and made just under £13.00 worth of Boots points that I can use next year.

  • Ok, Got a letter from Helifax about my overdraft review. They are increasing it to £700 as of the 12th December. I was after jsut having O/D removed around Feb time, but am now thinking of using £500 of the O/D facility to pay towards my CC. My CC is with Vanquis so its expectionally high interest. and I am sure my O/D interest is no where near as much.

    This is info I have
Current Account variable interest charged on an arranged overdraft 1.50% per month (19.5% EAR*)
Credit Card Purchase interest 2.840% per month 34.080% per Year
Cash interest 3.433% per month 41.190% per year.

Would I be doing the best thing embracing my O/D with open arms so as to bring my CC total down by a good 3rd of what I owe on it.

  • I'm getting a new kitchen after all, thank you Mr Central heating surveyor man. Kitchen Designer is due any time. Am going to see if it will be possible to have the sink moved to the top end of the kitchen. Now I just need to find out whats happening over wiring, loft insulation and bathrooms. Have called decency homes today and asked for a copy of the survey that was carried out before I moved in. Also made it clear I would actually like a surveyor to call out and do a full survey, as from what information I have found out, the windows are not down to be replaced, even though they are ALL single glazed wooden frames, and under the decency homes guides, they have to be double glazed. All I was down for was new doors and a new fire.
