Yes ladies - in aother words not only do we cook, clean, wash, iron and generally slave inside (and in some cases do paid work outside) the house we are also expected, at a moment's notice to be able to locate mobile phones, MP3 players, memory sticks (data pens or whatever you call them), remote controls (like we're allowed to use them!!) keys, pass cards etc etc. Because they abandon this stuff whenever they walk through the door and then can't find it.

So I'm throwing this one open to you. Any ideas?

    hello all

i am smiling today as i've done some flying already (woke up nice and early for a weekend) but more importantly i got a cheque for almost £3k from my previous employers - i've been in a dispute with them. can't tell you how good it feels to have it - DH & i have been dancing around the flat and are going out for a celebratory lunch (only to starbucks haha):rotfl: we have a lot of bills this month so it is going to help us so much. emotionally its also fab as i feel i can properly move on now and i was so bitter about how i'd been treated. I'm now nipping into town before the bank closes to pay it in.

If you don't get to the bank in time could you pay it in through an ATM? Then it would get processed Monday.

Thanks for the advice re: sleeping. I have a friend who I "talk" to (we text and message each other through another forum) about things, and I write him HUGE PMs with it all in and he advises me the best he can. My problem is when I get to bed my mind starts whirling and when I do finally go to sleep I have very vivid dreams some of which wake me up. They drive me mad, but I've always been someone who can remember their dreams, its just these ones are ones I'd rather forget but even now, I can remember vividly dreams I had last week. If I go back over my PM's to my friend (where I describe these dreams) my recollection is 99% accurate even now.

I'm going into town today and I'm going to see if I can pick up a cheap CD-stereo for my bedroom, then I'm going to start listening to some Paul McKenna CDs when I go to sleep, I also need a cheap lamp so when I doze off I don't have to get back up to switch the main light off which seems to wake me up again

Any ways, I'm also off to TJ Hughes today as apparently they've got a tombola on where you can win up to £100 worth of shopping vouchers ;) I'm going to check out their curtains section while I'm there to see if there are any bargains which I can invest in ;)

Large bowl on a table just inside the door (or possibly one bowl each :D ). For the first couple of weeks frisk them as they come in and don't let them make it any further with anything that isn't needed inside the house. They can then collect it all on the way out.

Of course, this doesn't help if they've left it at work/school/a friend's/in the car...
