Well I have to admit, if I had my choice of where to live I would move to Edinburgh. I absolutely love the place.
Love your avatar by the way, dont you just think that Richie gets better as he gets older!! Mmmmmmm what a man.
Anyway,
im afraid I didnt do much else yesterday after I did the kitchen and the dining room. I have to admit the living room, and study are not too bad, same with the bathroom.
Today when ive finished work, will defo do my bedroom, its a tip, and i will need to clear out my cupboards.
Have a good day everyone.

I've been there... the t-shirt is now a duster!Speech Therapists make me SO      .
They are a breed unto themselves, I've seen at least 4, and they have all been more or less carp, rude, unpleasant and patronising. They don't appear to even think about the family they are dealing with. Or listen to the way in which you deal with your child.
I'm sure you've all noticed, I can talk...a lot!!! We all talk for Britain in this house. So to have some supid b*tch telling me to "talk more" to my daughter, and suggesting I talk about "the taps at bath time, this one's hot, this one's cold" in order to introduce more vocabulary for my DD3. "Talk about what's going on around you, during your day" astounding!!!!! Well, blow me down, I'd never have thought of that by myself, thank goodness I saw her!
She even felt it appropriate to give me the instructions for... wait for it.... Peepo       I wrote the sh*ttiest letter of complaint about her...useless cow.
They all were on at me to use Makaton for my girl. Just because she has Downs syndrome does not mean she can't or won't talk. I don't have any issue with anyone that wants to use Makaton, but we didn't want to. My daughter talks beautifully now, and I can assure you, it was NOTHING to do with the bl**dy stupid useless speech therapists we've had the mis-fortune to have encountered.
Sorry, that turned into a rant....  It's a slightly raw nerve!!! :rotfl: I really really hate speech therapists!!!!
DS1 saw one in P1 and part of P2 but has been discharged. He needed a little help with 'sh' and 'r', funnily enough, I did too at that age. She was lovely. Said we were doing the right things and she was just there to guide us and point out as a profesional where he needed help.
But this one, argh! Even DS2 didn't like her! I told DH last night and his responce was 'well you don't like many folk anyway and you show it, so he probably picked it up from you (the dislike)'. But I didn't show it, she was there to supposidly help my child. DS2 more or less refused to play ball and everything he did wrong he did on purpose, I saw the look he gave, it was the one he gives when he throws something to break it, kinda 'F**k you' style.
She just rubbed me up the worng way!
So glad to hear about your DD! We were told that DS2 may never walk and teh he would be unable to do this that and the next, but goes to show, if you beleive in them, and put in the hard work and don't let them give up, they can acheive anything!! And another point, I know a lot of people with Downs (my Mum's best friend's son is now in his 40's, but as I was growing up he had a huge party every year with all his friends from his learning centre, lots of them had Downs) and they all talk fine. A few do have difficulty, but not enough so you don't understand them. I know DS2 will talk fine, he just needs a hand to get there!0 -
DS2's speech therapist was fab.. and for me to praise anyone in the local authority they have to be amazing!! He has been referred for another round... 10 years later.. I knew the horrible one who reassessed him when he was 5 was wrong. The endocrinologist is great too.. and the second surgeon who did his circumcism and DS3's testicle relocation.. I appear to get allocated the halfway reasonable people.. probably because my reputation precedes me!!

Well so far this morning all is going reasonably well. Have done all of the tasks on the bedroom list that aren't Sunday jobs, have signed up for a free freview box with teletext, and have just made a one-egg microwave chocolate cake (hope it turns out ok - never used the recipe before and it seems to still have a dip in the middle of it).Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Someone is conspiring against me today.
Every time i manage to peg out the coats i need to dry for the hols it pee's it down and i have to get em in, everytime i come in the baby whinges so i deal with it, then brilliant sunshine for at least half an hour.
I am sweating like i don't know what trying to do that, cook dinner, and entertain DS1 who is having many moments of being tricky today. Why do i want to go on hols? It is no break!
Maybe i will feel calmer, once the boogers are having an afternoon nap and leave me to get on in peace.
Feel i have to say, i had a lovely speech therapist when my throat was playing up and i was off work for 5 months with it, she helped me no end, and said if i had further problems then go and see GP and ask to see her again.
I haven't met as many useless health professionals as some of you lot, although i could add a midwife or two to the list.0 -
