I think it's cos DH makes oh so just under £15'000, and I don't work so I get a bursary! Actually I can also work and still get my bursary as of last year!!! SO long as it is not during class time or study time (which they say should be doen in the college). I wasn't expecting to get it to be honest, I could have managed just if they paid childcare. But I get both. I really really should have done this years ago, but I'm glad I'm doing it now, I'm older and wise enough to really want it, I've had my kids, they are still young enough that I can have fun with my free weekends and school holidays and I will still be there at home when they are. By the time I get my degree (and gosh darn it, I'm going for a fricken degree) they will be at school and old enough that I will be happy to focus on me career.

It's a full time day course.

I think we are just very very lucky here and I am taking advantage of it while it's still available.

I have even made the huge decision of what I am going to study. Prosthetics and Orthotics. I want to really focus on Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome in babies). I want to be able to have a degree behind me to fight the good fight.

Been researching this all night and Plagiocephaly will be my main focus, however I go about it.

    I'm all excited! LOL! :j

    Me too:D

I'll be 30 by the time i get my degree, and LO will be 9. So a good age for me to start my career.
Orthotics is an interesting field, LO's orthotist is lovely:D We see them every 6 months or so. We had a worry about plagiocephaly in LO as she had to be in a pavlek harness for the first six months of life as she had a bilateral hip dislocation. Luckily she was fine though.

My rabbit is such a pathetic specimen, she loves cuddles! She is currently lying flat out on the floor while LO ruffles her.
Just going to have a cuppa and some breakfast then will start my list.

Mum is buried in a new grave yard, and is first in, which I think she would enjoy knowing, she has the most stunning views of the coast line, as the new grave yard is up a small hill / slope, as the land had to be cleared the parish council are going to re seed the whole area, which will be good.

    Oh Kaz, thats lovely xx

Still not been to the shower but I have hoovered and mopped the floors - I wanted to listen to the radio.

2 kids in the garden playing in the rain. One indoors building a racing car circuit complete with stadium. He is only down the 'play' end of the room so I can hoover and dust the other end quickly once I've showered.

Paper Mache replicate of OH head coming along nicely - DS3 is making it for him for his birthday :rotfl:

    To the shower

    Quote of the day:
"Often we allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget. We lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that, in a year's time, will be forgotten by us and by everybody. No, let us devote our life to worthwhile actions and feelings, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring undertakings."

  • Good morning all

I just wanted to share with you that I love you all very much :happylove :happyhear :happyhear I wanted to type that at 2am this morning, but was unable to :rotfl:

I had a lovely birthday and the show was great. Miles Jupp, I'd definately recommend him. I'd also recommend Karl Spain who we saw on Sat night hosted a show. I'll look into getting tickets for him today. Oh and he is a friend of mine on facebook now :rotfl:

I'm going to bash on with the uni application (probably not a great idea to have started it last night when I was on the happy juice but never mind)

Cup of tea first I think :coffee:

    Morning all

kazwookie - thank you for letting us know how it went yesterday, it sounds like a lovely place to be buried.

Raining here so one load of washing hung upstairs.

Had my hair cut so I've given the kitchen a good vacuuming and then did the hallway, living room and up the stairs.

Asda shopping due any time, just as well we're running out of stuff.

    Hope everyone else is OK.
