I have always found people on MSE to be friendly and helpful, sure we have a laff now and again but we never exclude anyone except for trolls - no-one wants them.

I have PM'd someone before to offer advice when I have been in a similar situation and also when I want advice about something that would bore the pants off people.

I always look for newbies and offer them assistance where I can, I will also get rid of trolls.

I'm cool thanks, not gone south yet but will be doing shortly. I dont get on here now as much as I used to. Im soooo busy which is ashame. The little fella is almost 20 months now and is a star. What career are youthinkgin about or is this thread not the correct place to talk about it?

How thick am i? I never noticed the comments about pm ing and stuff and then read another thread and saw it twice. Looked at some other threads I read a lot and saw it there too!!! I'm just thick and billy no mates:D xx

Don't worry most of my PMs are a) business - ie other BGs pointing out threads on my boards, b) abuse from users, c) spam, d) demands about why I have removed a thread (funny cos if I do remove a non spam thread I always PM the user ), e) questions about board rules...

OP, I do think you're being a bit oversensitive here. As others have said, in any community, either off or online people will make friends with one another. It doesn't bother me at all if I'm contributing to a thread and someone starts going off-topic with someone they know. I certainly don't think that people get together to start slagging anyone off from here. You've no evidence at all about that, it just seems to be something you've surmised.

Give it a bit more time and you'll get to know lots of people from the forum and may end up making friends here yourself.
