    I didnt realise until about 3 months ago that you could click a button so that you were notified if you had a PM so personally, I think nothing of someone tsaying 'you have a PM'- half the time, I didnt even know!

    Where is said button ? I never knew that either

    It's in the 'USER CP' section-click if you want notification of pm's or something.

    I feel at home here however somethings that have hapened lately has put me off posting (which has been noticed in my diary more than elsewhere). However this is a public forums and I expect it to go through bad patches and pacthes where I just dont want to be part of it. I think thats the beauty of this board you can come and go as you please. I will be the first to put my hand up and say sometimes I dont 'understand' whats posted in the daily chat threads etc etc but then why should I? I dont spend all my time there. I dont think this board is secretive but I think if people dont write 'pm me' or 'msn' or 'email' etc etc it will help the vibe of the board :D However I will say I have done this before but only when the user hasnt got back to me :)

    yes bunny you are right ~ user cp, edit options then near the bottom there is a tick box where it says
    If you are browsing the forums when you receive a new private message, the system can pop-up a notification box informing you of the new message.

    click that and then you get a popup on the board when you have a message :D
