Hello All,

Well am still hanging in there! No sign of bubs making an appearance yet.

Had midwife today and she thought baby was breech so sent me to hospital to get a scan, but my little girl is head down-so all good!

Am very uncomfy at the moment-ribs and muscle ache-and so am very cranky:o Me and OH just seem to be arguing-and he has been very down in himself. He was due a bonus of approx 1k during the summer which his boss promised but never materialized-then on sunday his boss said he would give it to him-so OH arranged trade in on our car (black mini, which was supposed to be mine as he has bike-but too small for baby buggy so he insisted we trade it in:mad: )We picked up a BMW 3series which he insisted was a bargain at 5500 (dealer gave 4kfor mini), so he added the 1k to it so we could buy it. Only prob is, I cant drive it , I only have a provisional so until I've passed I cant drive. I was allowed to drive mini if he was with me-but this one is a 2.5ltr. I felt so upset and resentful yesterday when we got it. He has a gorgeous bike that he uses on a day to day basis and now he has a car that he loves when we have family days out. I feel so fed up that I am making all these sacrifices and he isnt. My body has changed loads and my money goes on buying maternity wear etc, he gets track days. He gets to sleep, im totally uncomfy. He gets his wages each month-I get maternity pay-which will then decrease. God I'm having a proper rant-sorry people-guess im feeling a bit srry for myself today!!:o

Anyway-have called to enquire re c card today-and my balance is at 212.00-and I have 200.00 set aside so will try find something to ebay and try get it paid off-Im getting there!

Have finished another three hampers-1 for OH's mum, and 2 for friends-so getting Christmas sorted (kind of!!)

Have to book ferry to go home to Eire for Christmas so want to try find a discount for that-as costs us approx 250-300 each yr, and havent budgeted for it:eek:

OH called me today and has given his notice in his job (he will work his month as required). So this means he wont get his bonus-I really cant say anything to him-Im at the end of my tether with him-and he is really down in himself-so we just end up screaming at each other. I know he is stressed but I need security for me and the baby. His mum owns a shop in a remote village near norwich and she said he can work there and we can stay in the flat above-but really didnt want to have to do that-its so isolated up there, I know no-one and I cant drive. Im feeling really stressed re everything and all the uncertainty and cant speak to him or anyone -I've got myself into such a mess

Landlord will be here tomorrow to paint room so I have to be out of the house all day because of the paint -but have no-where to go-cant drive and dont fancy walking round shops all day. Everyone I know is working.

I've just re-read my negative post-sorry if making anyone else feel [EMAIL="!!!!-but"]c**p-but[/EMAIL] venting it helps! And as they say- "when you hit rock bottom, the only way is up". Im sure by tomorrow I'll be back to myself and trying to get on top of everything again.

I already have my little list, and am looking for jobs for OH,looking for freebies for my christmas baskets,updating budget for remainder of month. Have been looking for more insurance quotes for new car-to try get down (got one for £1300.00:eek: !!!!!!! OH and his big ideas-grrrrr!!!!
Doing it all through quidco to try get moneyback. Will bring my pennyjar to tesco to cash in at the coinstar and buy some more pressies-few choccies for families!

We've been invited to a bbq/firewrk display tonight-but have been getting few pains/twinges since 6ish so not sure if will go-but might be nice for us to get out of flat for a bit!!

Hope everyone else enjoys the fireworks-will go check in on diaries now.

Hi TashaC-cookalong went well-was the pea and ham veloute (mice-but not enough flavour!), lasagne-was lovely, and lemon and lime syllabub (OH LOVED this:rotfl: was supposed to be a credit crunch special but the ingredients cost me £25.00!! Sppose thats cheap for Mr Ramsay-not for us DFW's!!!:D

Awwww sorry you are feeling so pants. I hope you do feel better tomorrow, can you go to the job centre for OH and see if there is anything suitable for him? After the baby how long before you can go for your test?

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well. We are still a two-some! No bubs yet-in a way am glad as landlord hasnt finished our room. He put on anti-condensation paint as we had a bit of damp-and needed a few coats with 24hrs beween each coat so hasnt actually started the painting yet:rolleyes: In the meantime our room looks like a bomb hit it-we had moved the crib, washing baskets and loads of other bits into the sitting room so he could paint so we have just thrown them all back in again-as a friend is coming to visit tonight and im trying to keep the place tidy!! I just want it all finished before she arrives-so that we can be comfortable when home from hospital.

Have got 150 set aside for ferry to Ireland so we will need to allocate more next payday. Have 200 for credit card aswell but as I've already paid 300 this month-im reluctant to put it on the card as have left myself short, and have 2 driving lessons this week and next, and shhhhh (dont tell anyone!!) my test is booked for next week (gulp!:eek: ). I havent told anyone as neither me or instructor are confident in me-and also I am due exactly a week later and some of the manouevres are getting hard for me (excuses, excuses...:rotfl: )
Also-OH has put enough pressure on me by getting a car I cant even practise in, and can only drive once I've flaming passed:mad: , so I dont want anyone ringing me asking how I've done and having to tell them all I've failed. (Can anyone tell I'm a pessimist?;) )

Have just ordered tesco to deliver tomorrow after lesson as last few times we went ourselves I got pains and wanted to leave and then OH went yest and just bought rubbish!:rolleyes:

Have another friend popping round tomorrow and will make some dinner-prob sausage and mash. nice and simple!

I've picked up some tins of chocs for xmas pressies for family-and have two bottles of wine-am thinking I will give box of chocs, bottle of wine and a family board game and dvd for each of the families. Have also picked up a cute little basket with creams in tesco for 4.00 for my nan (was originally 10.00) and a box of belgian chocs in a fancy box-so she is sorted.

Will put my hampers together next week if i get a chance.

Going to go relax as having niggly pains for the last hour and keep losing my train of though-so apologies for the ramblings!!

Hope the pains settle. What day is your test? (its ok I won't tell anyone) Must have positive mental attitude towards it, visualise yourself passing every night before you go to sleep.

Has OH got any news regarding another job? Can he go for constructive dismissal?

Hi lucielle!! thanks for message! all is fine, still no bubs! Having loads of problems with laptop/internet so can't get on very often and so have been having withdrawal symptoms!!:rotfl:

Not been a very MS month so probably just aswell!

We booked ferry to go home to Eire at Christmas-£297.00:eek: We had 150.00 set aside and were going to book at the end of November but the prices kept increasing so OH gave me 150 to book-I will give him back 75.00 when I get paid next week.

I had my driving test yesterday-and I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :j :beer:
SO happy! Really wasn't confident and my lesson on Thursday went terrible-but I did great-2minor faults (and you're allowed 14 and can still pass)..am so proud of myself! Means that me and my little doll can go wherever we need to and not rely on anyone-it feels brilliant!:T

My bank account is living on memories at the moment-I have about 30 until friday when I get paid but got an invoice from ebay for 11.25:mad: -they are so expensive these days-pay them to list, then a chunk afterwards and same for paypal-its not really worth it! Anyway, had to buy some tickets for a friends quiz night when was round at the girls last night and that set me back another 8.00-all the others were buying them and didnt feel I could say I couldnt afford it -as they all have loads of money and good jobs and some are slightly appalled that Im even pregnant, so couldnt let them think we are struggling. (Stupid pride!) Had a really nice evening with them all though-they are lovely girls, and I've only got to know them over last few months-we gather at one of the girls of a friday for a catch up and some food-so I brought one of the tins of choccies that had bought for a xmas present-as couldnt afford to get anything else-but all the girls devoured the celebrations:D .

Have finished my dad's Christmas present, 2 friends, OH's mum, my nan's, and got most of my best friends (am doing hampers for all-trying to save money) To be honest I dont know that I'm saving but am definitely bit more organized and feel the presents are actually ones they will all like.
Still have to get OH's family sorted, and they are difficult to buy for as none of them drink so cant pass them off with a bottle of wine and tin chocs. We will see them on 13/15 december-so need to get them sorted soon-but OH doesnt seem worried and as they are his family-I've told him he can sort them-as I dont need the stresss-especially when he's not that bothered! (Men ey!!!). Also, he has given me £30 for Christmas so far, and I have spent LOADS on presents that everyone assumes are from both of us, and also assume he has paid for aswell as me-where's the justice!?

Anyway, bedroom is sorted finally! OH got so annoyed waiting for landlord that he painted it himself-and the room is all cosy now-have sorted her little drawers and all her bits so we are just waiting on the stork to deliver her now;) Wishful thinking ey!:rolleyes:

On the job front OH is working up until 20th dec-this has been agreed with his boss-and they will discuss his job in the meantime. OH has been applying for other jobs also-and has an interview on tuesday so fingers crossed that he gets that-and can start when we get back from Christmas holidays. Really would take the pressure off!

Should get the credit card cleared and cancelled next week once paid-have 262.00 on it so have budgeted for 300. Il be so chuffed if I get it cleared especially before Christmas and LO arrives. Then I'll make a start on the overdraft-thats the plan anyway! Im going to treat myself to a decent haircut and colour once little one has arrived aswell-know its not very money saving-but i paid 80.00 a couple of weeks ago and its really been a waste this time-the coulour is awful and I really need a decent cut-and OH agreed the other night but at least he was honest with me! Im hoping for a colour sale or some special when I need to get it done-try save a few pennies!

Got to go repack hospital bag and do washing and tidying today as been lazy all week:o .

Hello All,

What a chilly day it is today!! Am sitting on laptop with cold feet...brrrr...

Have been a lazy cat today and done very little-though also means I have had a NSD

Have been on this site the majority of the day and feeling a little worried re this credit crunch/recession. Had a look over my loans and seems like it will take me forever to pay them off-especially with my wages decreasing for maternity pay in a few months,. got to try get some money saved to get us through those tight months!

Have cashed in some of my points on pigsback to get a Boots voucher-only had 15.41 and used 11.50 on £10.00 voucher but it wil go towards something-maybe some 3for 2 stuff? Im throwing together a hamper for my best mate (whi is now newly pregnant, after trying to conceive all year:T ), so am doing her a pamper hamper-have aromatheraphy stuff, candles, lotions, going to get her some snuggly socks, have bought bath stuff,face masks, massger, radio duck, and will add few more bits-really hope she likes it! I know I would have definitely used them throughout my pregnancy!!:D .
Also, when I was out last week-I went into TK Maxx and they had these gorgeous boxed hat, scarf and gloves sets from Calvin Klein, in all different colours-for £10.00!! you wouldnt get them for that price in primark and look alot more expensive-so bought one for me, and one for my friend for xmas-as she likes her brands and will never guess they were so cheap!:j Might try pick up a few more if there are any left when I get paid on friday.

I have a bag full of stuff for ebay who are doing free listing on sat and sun if listed at 99p-so will chuck them on that and hope to make a few pennies, though dont think m any people are spending-even on bargains!!

We went to Tesco on Monday as OH was off-took our spare pennies to cash in-and had 27.22-shopping came to 40.00 so only needed to add a little-and OH put 40petrol in car to tide us over until friday when I get paid. This month has been very tight, and next month will be too-I dont have to pay for driving lessons but owe OH £75.00, and have to get more pressies,more petrol as visiting OH's family mid-december and have loads of birthdays in dec too:rolleyes:

Anyway, OH will finish work soon so gota go do a few bits so he doesnt come home and wonder what the hell he's engaged to:rotfl:

I was after some insperation and picked a diary to read at random, i have spent most (all) of my day at work reading yours and its FAB your doing so well it put me to shame!!! hope your doing well and will defo be reading up on your progress!!!
