  • Hi all,

Tried to post yesterday but kept giving me problems?
Anyway, grey here today, OH is off work for the week as had an op last thurs on his shoulder.
Have tried to get some bits sorted this week as money is tight and need to get my a$$ in gear.
I have finally had a resolution to my complaint against my bank after they broke the DPA, I will now receive the £300 I requested:j It couldnt have come at a better time as when I checked our online banking on monday, we had £272 and needed 463 and that wasnt including food or petrol. They need to send me an acceptance form and then will get the ball rolling and hopefully receive the money in the next week or so:T
I have two forms to complete to claim on my payment protection insurance because of redundancy. My employer needs to complete some sections too and include a letter of termination so I've posted that to them this morning. I'm not sure how they calculate the payments for the loan then, will they pay the total amount each month? I hope they dont try find a way out of paying it, as you hear all these horror stories lately.
I've called the local council re benefits and we may be entitled to some help with rent once I am redundant, so I have loads of forms to complete and then an appointment on the 19th. (My SMP finished on the 18th)

I have an appointment with the business advisor tomorrow to discuss my little sandwich making venture-so hoping all that goes ok too.

I've been tidying and trying to get the house organised after stepdaughters and niece left last week. Loads of washing to catch up on, and need to sort lo's clothes and room. Need to have a clearout of her bits as she's not fitting into alot of her clothes, she'll be 8 months next week, where did that time go?!

Feeling a bit fed up today as its a case of clean or dont clean.I cant call anyone as trying to keep bills down, and dont have anyone that I know around here. Cant go out for a drive as we cant afford it either, only necessary trips.
I am trying to keep the chin up though as I know we all have days like these, and that things can only get better!(Fingers crossed!)
Lucielle, OH's family are fully aware of the situation, but have a business is business attitude. Nice ey!
    Anyway, onwards and upwards!

  • Morning..

I've been naughty and not posted since last week, have decided to try update maybe once a week as I dont really have much to update at the minute!

I received the £300 from Abbey, which was duly spent on food, baby bits, petrol. Also paid the council tax £128.00 which is a relief!
We bought dd a second hand buggy and carseat, and got a good deal on them as its a friend of OH's mum.
I'm now trying to sell lo's old travel system, have washed it all and am cleaning it up-so hopefully that will sell.
I sold her crib, moses basket and rocker last week for £45.00-which was a bargain but we needed the money and the space!

I'm currently waiting to hear back from my work, they need to send me through paperwork for me to sign regarding my redundancy and also return my p.p.i claim forms. I spent ages on the phone last week trying to clarify some info with the jobcentre, basically, I can only put in a claim once my redundancy figure has been spent?? So if I'm awarded 3months pay-I can only claim after those 3 months have passed. I'm sure this is standard procedure everywhere but it means my bank wont pay my loans because I need a jobseeker number???
I've been paying the p.p.i for three years and now when I will need it, I wont flaming be able to use it. It will also affect any rent relief. I was hoping to use the redundancy money to start my business, get a washing machine and new tyres for the car etc, there really is a list of things we need. Oh well, got to make do I suppose, and there are people worse off than us,.

I have to pop to Tesco's once dd is awake as we have run out of her formula, also need to drop some bags to the charity shop, then I have a friend coming round at 3, for a cuppa and a chat, so need to do a little tidying too:rotfl:

I have another appointment with the business advisor on Thursday and have some homework to do before then:rolleyes:

I alos have a messy house and alot of washing to catch up on, so I really should get off this!

Need to update my signature too, as loans are slowly decreasing;)

    Take care x

  • Hello Lucielle!

Indeed I have been quiet, tut tut me. Since my last post, my sister had her baby who was very poorly so had to make an unplanned visit to Ireland,as he was not expected to make it, though he is doing good now-time will tell if there is any damage. I then had to fly over again for my best friend's daughter's christening (I was godmother:D), and so as you can imagine-my redundancy figure is very low (whats left of it) which isnt being helped by the fact that we have decide to try get married on the 23rd December:eek: We definitely must be mad-but have just thought-lets just do it!
By all means-it will be a very MSE wedding-and we are trying to do it with £3.5k (and yes I know we could better spend it but I have paid off OH's credit cards, and been as sensible as I could be with the rest-and well we want to:rolleyes:)
I havent been updating this diary as there really hasnt been too much debt bashing on my behalf, but I am definitely being more sensible with my money, still searching for bargains if I do spend, and am reading the newsletter every week-and every little helps as they say!
Lucielle, I hope all is well with you and your lot-I will try catch up on your diary-and thanks for noticing, as always !

Congratulations on the impending nuptials. At the end of the day you have to live and nobody can live your life for you. If this is what you want to do and you are happy with that decision go for it! Take care
