  • Morning All,

Thurs morn-didnt get on yest as busy in work again (damn work getting in the way:rotfl: )

Had to order flowers in work yest-the office manager asked me to do it with the company credit card-so went through pigsback to do it, spent £160 of the companys money so hopefully I did it properly and will get some points for that:j

Had a cleaning evening yest-myself and OH got home 8ish and tidied-it really needed to be done-he cleaned out his drawers-so have some bits that he doesnt want that can car boot/ebay or give to second hand shop-actually just thinking, i should try find my freecycle details and pop them up there if they dont sell. I might try do car boot on sunday if it open as have hairdresser at mine on sat-so could do with building up the funds again!

Have some friends over tonight-and just guna stick two pizzas in oven-i usually buy loads of bits, salady stuff, and goodies but not doing it tonight-i feel really tight but its always round at mine, and never theirs so it means im always paying!they did want to go out for dinner but i havent the funds:confused:

Am counting down the days til payday (tomo week), so that i can set aside my money for the month and try pay some bits, only three more paydays until lo arrives!!

Guna go do my usual bits for the day, pigsback, check online account-sign up for Ipoints and other bits as received referrals from OberonSH-Thanks!! and reeeeaaaallllyyy need to practise theory and road signs as test next week!

Have a lovely day all xxx

  • :T Good afternoon all,

Have been up since 10-and done some cleaning, put on a wash-and have more tidying to do:rolleyes:

OH is working today so am a little bored, am in the mood for spending money-but really cant afford to as have wedding next friday and need to give money for a present:confused: .
Got my hair done yesterday and it turned out lovely:j which was a relief as I had never met the hairdresser before-found a home hair service on the net-usually spend £130/150 for full head of highlights-and it only cost me £82.50 for a full head and a cut-still expensive but at least got it cheaper:T

I need to study the highway code today as have my theory test on Wednesday and have been really naughty putting it off all the time.:o

Have not had a good week re vouchers-lost my NOTW voucher last night on way to Tesco- and during the week I was trying to get some bits in boots to qualify for the two vouchers,I had all my bits in my arms, handbag, another bag and needed 1more item, but couldnt get it as bump in way-wanted to put it at till but the cashier told me i'd have to pay for the items and then go back to the back to queue again-bearing in mind im 26 weeks pregnant and had to run for my train-I was so upset, I nearly burst into tears-some people are just so rude! I hope karma bites her in the bum!:rotfl:

Anyway, going swimming later when OH gets in-so looking forward to that!

Better get on and start my bits-OH is off tomorrow so if i get all finished today it means we may have some time to do something together tomorrow!

    Todays list:
    Hang out washing
    Clean bathroom
    Photograph items for ebay
Tidy bedroom (loads to do in there, really dont want to get into it:rolleyes: )
    Study highway code
    Hoover and wash floors
    Washing up in kitchen
Find my maternity card as need to book dentist

Hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday weekends!!xx

  • Hello All,

Where did the weekend go?! and what genius decided that weekends are two days, and the week is 5??

Had to transfer money from the ebay fund that OH gave me for the wedding this weekend (200 initially)-and its all gone-i also had 1040.00 set aside in my second account to clear my credit card -and have this morning had to transfer 40.00 from that-I am so annoyed at myself!!! and OH is guna be too when (if) he finds out! I dont even know what I spent it on-Im going to look at my online account and review. I am also going to have to take money from my wages on friday to make up the £200.00. I could've paid some off my credit card if I hadnt been so flaming stupid!

I really need to pull up my socks with this challenge, I'm so disappointed in myself.
I feel like theres no point as I cant do it, and theres always something else that needs to be paid or that pops up-and fed up with feeling down (its probably the pregnancy hormones-so apologies for the moan)

    Anyway....

Can I start today as new? Please:o

Have called barclaycard as my card hasnt arrived yet...will send again
Tried to log in to online banking to see what i spent my money on (not working-grrrrr abbey!)
    Have done some piggyclicks
Will visit some other sites that I've registered on
Will read some more posts on MSE and try get motivated again.
I will ebay my items once im back from this weekend.
Have my theory test tomo-and have failed two mock tests this morning so its not looking good for me:eek:

Right, im signing out-thanks to beanielou for popping in to say hi-its nice to know someone besides me reads this-though I hope those who are reading are doing better than I am:p

Have a lovely day all xx

  • Helloooo!

Have not been in work long-as had my theory test this morning- and i passed!:j :j
Really didnt think I would-as all my practise tests failed and there was soo much I didnt know-but got the head into the book last night and studied a little-and I passed!:T
So at least I dont have to pay out for a resit:T
Feeling positive , just got to pass my driving test now:o

Going to check my online account now-as couldnt get into it yesterday.
Have loads to do this evening as we ar off to Eire tomorrow after work-so got to do tan, hair, pack everything, tidy (hate coming home to a messy house!! ).
Bought my lunch on way in as didnt make it last night due to study-but only bought a tuna sambo and a bar of choccie (for the bump, you understand ;) ) so think it cost about £2.50, and it was my little congratulations to myself!:D

Anyway, off I toodle, have a lovely day all xx

  • Morning all!

Am a tired we buny today-was a late one-as had one of the guys leaving drinks after works (which i totally forgot about!) .
I stayed for a bit-but everyone was smoking and drinking alcohol, so I took myself and bump off home about 8ish-got home at 9-then popped the chicken I had defrosted into the frying pan, and made dinner for me and OH. Had some suggestions from the lovely people on the OS forum but didnt have half the ingredients needed for their delicious sounding recipes so i made the following:
skinned some chicken thighs and drumsticks, fried them a little, popped them into a casserole dish with some peppers, leeks, garlic, red onion, chilli flakes, salt and pepper and poured a tin of cream of tomato soup over it! also put in a little soy sauce and we had it with some baby potatoes-was lovely!! really didnt know how it would turn out-but was delish-and have some for my lunch today-so we saved on dinner and lunch!:j

We fly to Eire this evening-and my lovely best friend has been an absolute star-she is letting us have her car for the weekend to save us money (the last two times we went it cost £130, and £180 for the 3/4 days!!
So we just need to put petrol in, and look after it! I will get her something for being so kind as she really didnt have to! I'm so excited going home, i could burst!! I have a new nephew-8 weeks old-and havent met him yet-and also will be the last time I see my family until Christmas as cant fly anymore after this- Im 27 weeks today (its going so quickly now!! )

My bank account is not looking healthy today-due to ebay fees coming out, travel for the week, getting hair done at the weekend etc (my budget was only a rough one this month-so hoping next month is not as bad!)

Payday tomorrow-though wont have access to online banking to see when it goes in (there isnt a set time!), and cant sort account untili return on Monday:rolleyes:
We've got to put petrol in car to get to airport tonight, get a wedding card and put money in (giving 100euro:eek: ), no accommodation cost as will stay with family on Friday night, petrol for friends car, saturday with family, sunday we're meeting friends who are off to Oz for the year so will be the last opportunity we have to see them, so having dinner-will try find a 2 for 1 deal somewhere!
Then Monday we have a midwife appointment to see how bub is doing. (Gosh, im tired just thinking about it all!!)
Really hope we dont spend loads as want to try pay something this month-even just take a little off overdraft.

Anyway, best get on and some work before i get caught on this!!:D

Have a lovely day all-and a lovely weekend too as I doubt I will be on!

  • Hello All!!

    Im back!!!!:D

Had a lovely time in Ireland-all the family are well-my new nephew is fab, and didnt spend as much as I normally do!:j

I forgot to bring my little black book where I record my spendings but think it was as follows:

    (Euros)
    Withdrew 170.00 on fri
20 on hair for me and best mate (we stayed at hers, and they fed us -so was a little thank you)
100- wedding present - the dinner alone would cost this so couldnt really give them less than that:rolleyes:
50 -cinema for me, oh, my little sis and her boyf (14 +16 awhhh), and my niece who missed out on a friends party just so she could see me-so thought we'd treat her!

Then withdrew another 50 on sunday and popped it in card for my friend-for giving us her car for the weekend-she really helped us out-she's such a good mate to me:o
She also had two huge baskets full of stuff that she's been buying for me and bump since finding out we were expecting. There are so many gorgeous little bits-beautiful little outfits and creams/nappies etc for bubs-they also got us a 3 in 1 -it was her cousins but she never used it-and it is immaculate-its brittax-and practically brand new-so she has saved us a few pennies to say the least!:j Am i a lucky girl or what?;)

We got back late on sun-and have been feeling SO tired since-we just went straight to bed.

Had midwife appointment yesterday-and all is well!:j bubs measures 27 cms, is growing fine-very active (and dont i know it!! ), and we got to hear her heartbeat-magical:D . Im so in love with her already-I cannot wait to meet her..

Anyway have been paid-so need to get finances in order for this month-need to get back into it-and start afresh. Feeling very positive today- (even though had to buy my lunch yest and today:eek: because we havent had a minute to do any food shopping but will hopefully get loads done today, and get shopping in, top up electricity and the internet card that OH signed up for (I have no idea what he signed up for-seemingly you just top it up-but he revealed last night that it keeps taking money off if you use it even if you dont have credit-so its hard to monitor...grrr:mad: ).
I need to pay council tax today aswell-my loans are coming out. Have received my barclaycard-finally but there are no terms and conditions with it-so i suspect they may have given me a different rate-and I want to check this first before I transfer!
Loads to o today (including work!! ) so better get a move on!

Oh and hello to TashaC and Tonylpool for popping in to read! didnt think anyone was-its so nice to think people read my ramblings!! xx
