Well ds seems fine to me, we went to the shops in the car as I had run out of bread and milk and he saw a friend from school and was laughing and joking with her, but then complained his throat hurt again once she'd gone  The sun is out now and I said we could go to the forest or the beach for some fresh air this afternoon but he wants to stay indoors. He's not ill but he's not right if that makes sense :o Anyway, I don't want to risk his birthday being spoilt by illness so an indoors day it is. I have finally caught up with most of the housework so I think I will aim to get 10 items on ebay today ;):D

That is such a fabulous surprise :T I am not sure who is going to win in the "excitement" competition - you or DS!!

I do think its gonna be me Hypno, ds will have no concept of the kindness and generosity involved, or of the value of the item, but it really has made my day :D:D

  • What a lovely surprise! :j BTW I used to work for Cross Country a while back, just as it was being privatised. I met Richard Branston and then left on voluntary redundancy. He wore a very nice jumper!

What a lovely surprise BB, it just goes to show there are some lovely/kind people in this world, more than we give credit for. Hope DS loves it and has a great birthday.

Well ds made a miraculous recovery after lunch today and so we went round to mums for the afternoon and we played in her garden in the sunshine. Then tonight I took my dad and ds to watch a local friendly football match which turned out to be the dullest match I've ever seen and hopefully hasn't put ds off for life  :D

No ebaying done after all but a nice day all round and I'm still over the moon about the train, I'm sure the guy who sent it has no idea how happy he's made me today, I can feel one very appreciative letter coming on as well as a photo of ds beaming on his birthday with his new train :D:D
