Well here I am in a shiny new diary
Welcome to those of you that haven't encountered me before, hello to those of you that have and have stuck around for the ride
For those of you that haven't been here before you may like to look at my old diary ... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=516504 ... for those of you that want a summarised version..... I'm a single mum to a 5 yr old boy, I work as a teaching assistant, I'm incredibly lucky to live within walking distance of the beach and also on the edge of the New Forest, and although I'm not really a dfw I like to post here as I think I very easily could become one if I don't watch the pennies, and also this is the friendliest board on the site
I will post an updated soa in the next post, and also a brief idea of my plan for August
Hope you all stick around

Hi :hello:
this is the evening for new diaries and signatures
Can I just be nosey about one of the last things on your SOA?
You have £10 per month down as DS party -is that what it costs each year? £120? Or is this a budget for all the parties he goes to throughout the year?0 -

Its sounds as though you live in a perfect location to bring up a child.
I am not a dfw either, but like posting here too as its such a great community.0 -
Olive, this is what I put by for his party, obviously if I can do it cheaper, like this year when I used my tesco clubcard vouchers then the money can be used elsewhere, but I like to save it each month so I have it if I need it. I know it seems a lot for a party but it would include the party, party bags, invites, cake etc. The parties he goes to I don't include as they usually get given something from my present cupboard which is made up of sale bargains or bits I pick up from mystery shoppingMortgage Total: £52,287 / £75,000

my babies are so old now, I'm completely out of touch :rotfl: :rotfl:
(they're at uni & at work)
But you're wise to budget for things you want to spend on, so I didn't mean it as a criticism0
