  • BB what a lovely thing to do for your DS! I bet that will be the highlight of his school holidays.

Aww thankyou, I'm just hoping he doesn't expect it every day of the holidays now  :D It was a boring day for me in terms of being stuck on a dull train journey, but it was lovely to see him truly enjoying himself. His dad tends to chuck loads of money at him and do loads of theme park type days out, the kind of days he enjoyed as a kid, whereas I would rather do things that really suit ds and what he enjoys doing even if it isnt something I'd choose to do  ;)

I think that will be ok, we have a wedding the next day but I can't see that stopping us. If we plan to do from Friday lunch time and friday night, then home Sat morning?

This morning we've been to the post office and sent a couple of parcels, been to the library and joined their summer reading challenge, got a few bits for party bags and have then blitzed ds bedroom. The bathroom has been done too, the kitchen is 90% done but my room and the lounge still look awful :o

I really do need to think about moneymaking stuff too soon as so far I have done nothing :o Hopefully once this place is organised and under control again I ll be able to think straight and concentrate on it again. I have found tonnles of stuff for a car boot sale from ds room, mainly clothes he's grown out of that aren't worth ebaying, but hopefully indirectly I'm doing some moneymaking :D

Cool - I'l chat with OH tonight to make sure we don't have any plans that Fri and if not I'll book it on Friday when we're there. It's a really basic site, it only has 1 toilet!! :p but I'm sure for 1 night we can survive.

Yep I'd say you're indirectly moneymaking BB... it's your middle name isn't it??

Last night I went to a pub quiz with some friends from work, we didnt win but it was good fun anyway :D It was so nice to come home to a tidy flat too ;) We are having some flats renovated next to us and yesterday and today the damn gasboard have turned up and dug up our driveway, meaning yesterday we couldn't get out and today we were out when they arrived so now we can't get the car in  Where I live there is almost no street parking for about 2 miles but I managed to grab a spot where its limited to 30 minutes, I phoned the council and had a rant and they've taken my details and said I can stay there all day and I won't get a ticket. Its not the point though, I need to go food shopping but I won't be able to lug it all from where I'd have to park so will have to wait until tomorrow now

The plan now for today then includes sending back my clubcard vouchers to be re-credited to my account, sorting out banking (haven't looked at it properly for a couple of weeks so is in a mess :o), ironing and some indoor stuff with ds. We may walk up to the park later if the weather improves.
