Well the bookcase is done, I have made loads of flatpack things before but this one was awful, none of the screwholes were lined up, several of the screws just wouldn't go in for love nor money, and I ended up using loads of No Nails instead
Not sure whether its gonna last long
Just having a bite to eat before I get the bookcase into place and fill it etc. I'm hoping the huge blister thats appeared on my thumb disappears again before I tackle the drawers  :mad:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Drawers are made and filled, we've both had a bath and ds is in bed
The place still looks like an absolute bombsite, but hopefully at some point this week it might start looking something like normal again
2 of the 4 relisted items sold on ebay today for £3, still they cost me £1 in total so a good return I guess
Tomorrow ds and I are off for a day out on the train, we're going to London and back, we're only there for about 2 hours before we get back on the train and come home again, but the tickets only cost me £1.10 for both of us :T I'll be bored stupid all day but ds should love it. Tonight I need to sort out some food to take and a book etc for me, as well as figuring out what time we have to leave etc ...Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

There was a special offer last friday as part of "green day", it was on the grabbit board I think, on southern train routes. We're going from Southampton, I live about half an hour from Southampton. The journey then takes 2.5hrs each way because its the stopping service (normally takes about an hour to London from S'ton), and goes via Southsea, Gatwick and god knows where else, but ds will love seeing stations he's never seen before
I also booked tickets for August when ds is going to his other grandparents for a couple of nights and I'm staying with a friend in London, that time because we're returning on a different day its £2.30 :beer:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I hope you have a good day - rather than think of it as being "bored stupid", think of it as being "switch off time" - take a decent book or treat yourself to a magazine......alternatively, take a calculator and your latest snowball printout and get planning how to pay off the next chunk of mortgage!

Hello all, well I survived
Ds woke up at 4.45 this morning asking if he could get dressed cos he wanted to go ... I think he was more excited than he has ever been at Christmas, bless him! The journey took ages but it was a nice day, I managed to catch up with a couple of friends who work in central London in the 2 hours we had there and we squeezed in a ride on the tube and a bendy bus
before heading back on the train. Ds was really well behaved all day and kept hugging me on the way home saying he didn't want the day to end and how lucky he was having me as his mummy :A I did end up spending quite a bit, £13 on the train from home to Southampton  £5 on a travelcard once we got to London (couldn't find my oyster card), and about £6 in m&s on food for the way home (I did take a packed lunch but by the time we came back ds was hungry again:o).
It does mean no money making has gone on here again todaybut we had a great day out and I know ds loved it
