We went round to mums this afternoon and spent an hour doing a bug hunt in her garden; ds is studying minibeasts at school so we got his bucket and went exploring. It was actually really good fun, we found all sorts of creepy crawlies and he eventually was brave enough to let a snail crawl across his hand
I've also got eve:Drything ready for school tomorrow, ds uniform out ready, shoes cleaned, bag packed. I haven't done the packed lunched as theres no room in the fridge for them, but everything else is ready, and I've even tackled my eyebrows
I'm still waiting for my id to be approved for a couple of bookies, hopefully will be done by tomorrow or I'll send an email, then I can crack on with them this week.
We have the hospital tomorrow, think its a physio session, then another appointment on friday, not sure how many more we still have, will find out tomorrow hopefully. I also have a parenting course starting on tuesday, another recommendation from the original person we were referred toMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Ds was asleep by 9 tonight, I have been beating myself up about his bedtimes for ages, but I just googled how much sleep a (nearly) 6 year old should get and it says 9-11 hours. He is generally going to sleep at about 9ish and waking at 7, so that makes 10 hours
So from now on I will try not to put more pressure on myself over it, I'll aim to get him into bed by 7:30 and then he can read / play / listen to stories as long as he stays in bed, then I will encourage him to settle down about 8:30ish and hopefully he'll get 10 hours. He does wake up before me 9 times out of 10, so I guess that should mean he's getting enough sleep?

Well, yes - if you were dragging him out of bed in the morn then he'd probably be needing moer, but not if he wakes up fine! I think some children just need less than others too. my eldest is now nearly 12 and has always been hard to get to sleep early. Now she can easily stay up later than me - we go to bed at same time usually, about 9.30 - 10 and she reads for a while, til same time as me! And gets up fine the next day. Youngest is nearly 10 and usually crashed out about 9.30 at the latest, she's always slept better!!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I think is just cos he used to be fab at bedtime, he slept through from an early age and went to bed by 7 and was asleep within 10 minutes right until he started school, then it all went downhill :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Ahhhhh, that's not so easy then is it?!! I never had an easy bedtime with G, she always hated bedtime, even as a toddler! She's just gone up now - but only cos she's stuck into a good book and wants to read for a while! As long as she's up there though, winding down, I don't mind.
Argghh kids....why don't they love going to bed like I do?! It's a treat being in bed early for me;):DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Evening
The hospital today was fine, was a physio session and have another one booked for the end of June. We had to go and get some shin pade and footie socks for a club ds is joining on wednesday, then we ended up at McD's for tea(£5) and grabbed a few other bits in Asda (£10)
Ds went to bed at about 7.30 and I had a quick bath, then told him to settle down and laid in his bed with him at 8.40 and by 8.50 he was asleepStill not early but much less painful than the normal faff we go through each night
One of my matched bets has got sorted out so I'm off to look for a match to put it on, have sent an email chasing up the other one as it should have been credited by now :mad:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Tonight I have finally reached payout level on pigsback (£10 M&S voucher), they used to be one of the best ones for paying out regularly, but this time it has taken 18 months to get there
I've also reached payout on ipsos surveys too, not sure whether to go for a £10 boots voucher or £10 john lewis or £10 arcadia  :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

The other matched bet bonus has been credited, so I have just put my first qualifier on, will try and get another one done later this evening when this one has settled.
I'm off to this parenting course tonight, really don't feel like it, suddenly ds has reached that age where we have activities to go to each night after school and I just want a night in
Nothing much else to report at the moment, a normal day at school today, one nearer to the next holidayMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

The course actually looks like being really good and I'm glad I went
My sister babysat for ds and she said he was an absolute angel, but as soon as I walked in the door he went into silly mode and started making silly noises / throwing cushions / kicking me etc ... After 5 minutes he calmed down and once she'd gone he went to bed and was asleep within 10 minutes again, although it was just gone 9pm by that point
Just off for a quick shower then will be off to bed to start reading the bumph we were given tonight, we've even got homework  :rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
