Oops, just realised in the long post I started off putting a yearly amount (normal mortgage payments) but all the other figures are monthly amounts, sorryMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £12630 -
The increased child benefit is already in there somewhere SS
I'm saving the extra 5.00 a week, the 75.00 in the present fund is based on the old amount as the extra 5.00 will already be accounted for

Yep just as I figured, I'll never keep up with your mortgage overpayments! I thought you were overpaying by £50 per month but you are aiming at overpaying by about £500 per month
And I have every faith in you :T :T :T
I'll be reading with interest as usual :A0 -

The matched betting one will be hard as I won't have much of a float as I want to keep paying it off the mortgage  I may try and do some extra aqa / mystery shops to help with that one, or ebay too as thats a pretty low target. Quidco seems high but I'll probably do car insurance or contents ins or a new phone deal.I've also got about 170.00 validated on there at the moment but it all keeps rolling over  if they ever pay it out that will help that one a lotMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Yes and I think that is where Benben has the right idea and instantly allocates it for something. When its a small amount like this its easy to just let it 'blend in' with the rest of the 'spending' money. So I think I will transfer any extra to my other account so its used for something rather than 'something and nothing' as it usually would be :rolleyes:0 -

I know you will be busting to pay all the mortgage money off this week but would it be worth keeping a chunk as a float to enable you to make more money on the MBing rather than be restricted on what you can do coz of lack of available cash?0 -
I keep thinking that too KM, but I really want to see it go under 50k for the start of the year
I love it when I get the mortgage statement at the end of January and that has been my aim, to get to 50k
It would make sense though ... :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Technically it would be under £50k still as the money is still there just not actually allocated to the mortgage account yet
and surely if it means meeting the challenge for next year it will be a great sacrifice not seeing that statement as you want it just yet
