How much of a float do you think you realistically need to make the most out of the MBing?0
-
That's an amazing plan and I know by reading your diary that you will be the one to complete it by the end of the year.
I agree with KM about the matched betting float, I am trying to build a small one up now as when you want to place a £50 or £100 bet it's difficult to find the funds to start again.0 -
Ooooh, tbh I don't know, probably 1,000 ?? Maybe I could ring up tomorrow, find out what the current balance is, (probably around about 51,600), pay off enough to get it to 50k which would leave me with about 600 as a float, and then Januarys money can make it up to 1k, and that way I get it down to 50k but also can earn properly from m betting too  Thanks KM!!!Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Mine is to overpay the mortgage. Not worked out how much yet but probably about £200 per month. Also I'm not too bad with the grocery budget but could be better so would like to fine tune that and keep control. Lastly I never budget for christmas, I don't go into debt for it but I do skint myself over the couple of months so would be better to make a monthly allowance for it. Oh and a holiday abroad paid for cash
Oh and I'd like to steal your present box idea....and ......and .............and..........:o
:rotfl:
All doable and not as exciting and challenging as yours0 -
My aim for the end of the year is to be debt-free, but not sure if I'll get that far;)
I am going to be a lot, lot more organised and overpay on the loan/egg card asap. I plan to ebay/AMazon and have started Slice the Pie again, but takes forever to earn anything it seems.
On paper my money looks good, I SHOULD be able to pay off the debt I think, it's not enormous, but if I didn't have it I'd be able to use any extra money on a holiday in 2010!!
I have just set up a new account with my bank so am going to use it as my 'spending' account and keep the other current account for all the dds/rent only. I did just cancel the PPI on my loan which instantly knocked £660 off my debt and I have written to them asking for the rest back as I think I shouldn't have been sold it because of the Crohn's I have - it means if I got ill cos of that they wouldnt pay out as it was already diagnosed.
I find it hard to see any 'extra' as I am paid monhtly, TC weekly, HB fortnightly and CB 4-weekly - all too confusing to track! But, it does mean my account never goes too low as TC always pop up every Thurs to put things right:p
You are sooooo organised it's fab - I need your thread to keep me motivated!!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I've just signed up for the scratchcards thing a la Hypno
I have got 20p so far, but hopefully over the course of the year it might get me the odd tenner here and there, kind of filling the gap that Pigsback used to occupy
