Hi all :D:D I agree there are definitely more new people on here recently, also on the mortgage free board there are loads of new people aiming to reduce their mortgages.

Okay, my friend has gone home, it was lovely to see her and she looks amazing which has motivated me to get back on the WW wagon ;) I weighed 10 st 10lbs this morning, so I have put on 3 lbs according to my scales, but there is no meeting again this week as its new years eve, so I want to lose that 3lbs by the next meeting which is the 7th Jan ;)

There will be a huge list coming up soon, but it is to work on all week :D

I'm going to knuckle down and attempt to be a good ww-er again, I'm fed up of eating rubbish and feeling fat. Luckily all the junk food is not appealing to me right now, so going to make a start eating properly! I don't want to lose a huge amount, anything up to a stone would be fine, but I'm not very tall and every extra pound notices on me (well I think it does anyway!!).
That's one of my targets for Jan, eat properly and drink water not coke;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!

The skinny jeans I bought won't let me get away with eating extra naughty stuff Milly :D

Tigz, I'm pleased you've got a pressie box now, sale time is the best time to fill it ;) I got several bits in superdrugs 10p box, loads of little glittery girlie bits and lip glosses etc, all handy for party bags ;)

I need to up my running milage now that we only have 17 weeks to go  so hopefully that will help my weight/dress size.......I am some way off "skinny jeans" though, but I did buy a work dress in principles sale that is very slightly too tight (could prob get away with it if I wore slimming pants....) so that is my aim for January, to be able to wear that dress comfortably.

I've rejigged all my bank accounts, and its all pretty confusing, but as long as theres nothing else to come out that I've forgotten about then I think I have 13.00 left till wednesday ;):D I do need to go food shopping tomorrow though, but that will come out of Januarys money I think ;) That does mean that yesterdays shopping spree is covered already though :D My next shopping isn't yet covered, but a large proportion of that will be going back, and the rest will have to be earned on aqa :D

  • Those of you with smaller children might like to keep an eye out if you have an "Adams" shop anywhere near you. By all accounts, they've applied to go into administration so there might be bargains to be had.

I'm considering starting all over again money-wise. I admire you lot so much on here for being focused on reducing your debt, especially you, BBaM, and it must be wonderful seeing your mortgage disappear before your eyes:T I am going to use the next three days before January 1st to get every aspect of my life sorted. 2009 will be a pivotal year for how the rest of my life will turn out. I can't continue to be so short of money as I have been this year:mad: . One of the first resolutions will be to print off and read, BBaM style, the matched betting thread and work hard on that. January sees one of the four larger payments from my customers arrive in my account so I need to invest the money wisely.

Sorry to hijack your thread, BB, but once I start typing, sometimes I can't stop. For typing, you could also add spending, eating and grumbling:eek: I've stopped now but will start up a new thread on Thursday....:D

Martin, good luck with your targets for 2009, but I reckon you should continue your current diary rather than start a new one, so you can see all your progress in one place ;) Give us a shout if you need help with the m betting, but the help thread on that board is invaluable, they are soooo helpful ;):D

    Happy New Year BenBen
I don't post very often but I do keep up with your exploits (as you're one of the few DFWs I've actually met-admittedly in another life ;) )
I'm currently plotting my assault on 2009 and you always have inspirational ideas :)

Thanks BB, you're probably right about the diary. We'll see.;) One thing I might look at in the new year is to take on one more paper round, making seven in all. For easy money based on no outlay, it's my best earner really. I deliver just over 700 papers now over six rounds. The whole lot takes just under six hours and it pays £78 which is reasonable money really. Reckon I could take on one more.

There's a few diaries I keep up with Duchy and BB's is the one I visit most often as I've met her in this life so to speak...
  • Martin - you've reminded me of another of my 2009 targets....get to grips with MB too! I have the print out but never get very far when reading it! I have a sad mathematical brain (I love maths, did 2 yrs of it at uni) so I hope I could make a go of it.... I can't think of any other ways of realistically making much more money, so this may be an answer for me...;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!
