We have a problem, our 17 year daughter announced a couple of weeks ago she was pregnant
Don't know where to go from here??????????

Just thinking about the prospective son in law and his stutter/problems finding work. As he is still so young - he can speak to careers - Connexions - for some help. He may also be able to get further help if they class the stutter bad enough to be a disability.
I think they both need a kick up the butts - no doubt you do to - but whats done is done and now they need to sort out some sort of reasonable lifestyle.
Does your daughter work?
Doh, just realised this one is months old. Well, do we have any update please OP. Baby is due what - 4 months now.0 -
Unfortunately there's an urban myth that the council is always happy to hand house keys to pregnant women, so they thought that was how it would work either by ignorance or stupidity!!
But the council are happy to hand over keys to pregnant women but first they usually have to spend some time in a "homeless pregnant teeny bopper" hostel then they will be top priority. Then once they get the council house they will get a community care grant worth a couple of grand since they had been living in a "homeless pregnant teeny bopper" hostel0 -
Most councils will not give a permanent tenancy to someone who is pregnant, LA would wait for the baby to be born in case something goes wrong, sounds harsh but that is what they doLoretta0
