You drive a focus. You've already said on this thread

If you tell me what model it is, I can tell you how different the ST is.

Or you could just carry on recommending completely inappropriate cars!

Oh I can carry on for as long as you like recommending inappropriate cars.

The SR is not a Focus I have heard of actually. But they are bringing out the new RS in November and then of course, MrsE may like to consider the Cosworth which is due out next year. Insurance could be a tad more than the ST and the RS though :D

By the way, my youngest son has an 2008 ST - his previous car was a 2007 ST. My other son has a Lichfield Subaru.

My car - its a boring 1.6 Focus.... ;) I've done my racing...

Honda Jazz is very spacious BUT way out of daughter's price range, holds its value well.

The average age of a new Honda buyer is over 50. Honda's have the oldest average age of new purchaser of any mainstream manufacturer in the UK.

The Jazz is a good car but better for MrsE's mother than her daughter:D .

Oh well. He might get a decent car one day, Jeannie ;)

(I got very uppity on a race day when they made me do the sighting laps in a scooby. In the end they let me use my evo! :D)

You got me with your wind up. Bit dangerous on a public forum to be suggesting cars like that!

Scooby wouldn't beat an Evo ;)

I think it's a bit dangerous cos if anyone Google about cars for new drivers and gets this thread they might take you seriously
