My daughter is taking her lessons & is hoping to pass her test in September.

Shes looking at small cheap new cars. If you post advising her NOT to buy a new car you are wasting your time, she wants it & I think there are worse things she could spend her money on & its good for a young female to have a safe reliable car.

I've got a list of the cheapest small cars in order, but I'm sure I read somewhere you could get a new Ford Ka for £4,500 & according to my list its a lot more, so am I missing any bargains? Can anyone tell me where we should be looking. When we've got our list then MPG, tax & insurance bracket will be looked at

Local Ford dealer is currently offering Fiesta 1.25 Style Climate 5dr pre reg 08 plate 10 miles only on clock @ £7,250. Sadly probably all will be gone by Sept. It is a "run out" model.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    I would go for a Aygo/C1/107.

It's one of the few cars with street cred for dem yoofs.

£7195 list. £5973 on Drive The Deal

The Ka is also due for replacement so there are bargains out there. What this dealer also had was brand unreg new Fiesta 1.25 3dr for under £6K, but if you read the windscreen sticker, after 3 yrs you either handed car back or paid balance of pre-purchase agreed value and kept car, or even got money back to be used against another new car purchase. Maybe the deal on the Ka you saw was on a similar basis

autobytel.co.uk have the Ford Ka at £4788.

I've bought my Ka from them. You order online, and they put you in touch with your closest Inchcape dealer with that price.

    Thanks

She is looking for finance, but simple traditional finance would be better for her. No baloon payments, just fixed payment & fixed term and then its fully paid up:D
