I am really, really bad at this!!! I haven't had a single NSD in August so far......

Yesterday I had to out £60 petrol in the car and bought lunch (although I downgraded from my usual M&S lunch to a jacket potato from bhs so I must have saved money there) ands then bought some dinner stuff in Sainsburys.....on a positive note though, I worked last night (party plan) and earnt £90 in 3 hours so that might cancel out the spending???

Today I have to buy lunch as I haven't gotten round to going to the supermarket at the start of the week to get lunch stuff...will do it this weekend though so maybe next week I'll have 5 NSDs!

I have been a bit pants with the NSD, however I am determined to have 5 this month :)

Today will be my second...if all goes to plan!

I have bought a packed lunch from home, filled up with petrol last night, went shopping the other day for bits and bobs that i'll need for the rest of the month.

This task is great, it really has shown me how easy it is to waste my money! It's quite scary when your concious of it!!
  • Good evening fellow non-spenders! I've racked up my 8th NSD this month. :j Thanks to strumpet for suggesting that we define how we did it - good idea. My NSD was down to a) going out without any cash or cards in the wallet and b) 'shopping' from the cupboards instead of the supermarket. I unearthed some odd items I'd bought when mooching round foreign supermarkets (one of my favourie pastimes before becoming a DFW), so that's my dinner sorted for this week.

Good luck everyone, keep the NSDs an the tips coming :D

Still no more NSDs for me this week - £1 contribution towards a work birthday present and about £8 spent on food this evening (we needed milk and margarine; we got milk, margarine, cheese, garlic bread, cherry tomatoes, doughnuts and caramel slices...)

Off to all-day ante-natal class tomorrow so there's no reason for us to spend - it's being held in a small village hall and we shouldn't pass any shops on the way! Come on NSD no.4...

Not only have I had a NSD today, but I asked for my credit balance with my electricity account to be repaid to my bank account!
    I'm feeling better already.
Please can I join you all, and I'd like to have a further 6 NSD's in whats left of August.
