Almost had a NSD today but I have suffered a back strain and in desperation to ease it off I had to buy some heat rub for £1.24.
Hello,
I'm fairly sure that we all agreed that anything medicinal doesnt count & that chocolate is medicinal for girls once a month.
Anyway, I ended up having a Very Spend Day after chickening out of running my car on fumes & hope alone until tomorrow. Very cross as for the first time ever my fuel bill went over £30.00 - £38.85 was the total    , can be sure I'll never let it run that dry again. Then did a quick whip round tesco & spent £19.25 on groceries & household stuff & another £9.50 on a new school bag, lunch box & pencil case for DD .
So, still stuck on DAY 5 .
Well done everyone

Morning all,
Well, it should be NSD 10 for me today hopefully.
I just have to drop Ds off at Holiday club, dump some stuff at the tip and then home to clean the house all day. Not much chance of spending any money there :j
Hope you all have a successful NSD today

Hi
Have managed 5 NSDs so far.... hoping for 1 more today!!0 -
I think that if something is truly for medicinal purposes then it should be allowed.
So the bottle of brandy I bought at the weekend doesn't count then Hypno! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

YIPPEE!!!!
I had an NSD yesterday bringing my total to 3 this month.
I think, as well as highlighting when we achieve an NSD, we should try and define how we managed it too, in order to give each other ideas for curbing the spends.
Eg Yesterday I:
Took leftovers for lunch - avoided buying lunch from bakery.
Ate a "what's in the fridge?" dinner.
Came straight home after bellringing practice - avoided pub spends!
In anticiaption of another NSD today, I have:
Packed sandwiches for lunch AND to eat at college - no trip to Sainsbugs for munchies
Prepared a thermos of coffee for college - no vending machine spends at 30p a chuck (chuck being the operative word!!! LOL!)
All other expenses to do with college - eg parking meter / diesel to get there will be covered by work!!!

Didn;t have a NSD yesterday - but should today - still using up all the stuff in cupboards and freezer so don;t need to buy anything. Am off to cousins funeral shortlly - no spend there obviously- work later on but i just leave my purse at home - especailly as a bottle of water from the vending machine is £1.50 for a 75ml bottle - that is way more expensive than diesel !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always take an empty bottle and fill it up in the gym as it gets so hot on poolside that I can drink up to a liter an hour when I'm teaching.
Anyway should be NSD 9 for me today - good luck everyone else0 -
I think I'm going to put all the spends on rubbish like Coke and thinkgs I don't need that I manage to avoid into a Mortgage Pig to throw at my mortgage. That really would be an incentive to rack up the NSDs.
