  • Don't ever accept burgers from Fire Stations either -

they've either been dropped on the floor at the BBQ by my DH :A

No, I can't possibly tell you that one .................

  • This is another one from my gullible friend (there's still a few more!!)
a few years ago I convinced her that she would need a passport to go to Reading (for the festival)
told her it was new eec law that you have to show passport at the toll both when leaving Cheshire, said to give the passport to the coach driver & he would show them all at the tollbooth, when she asked why we told it it was due to all the IRA bombings and they wanted to know where everyone was at all times!
The best thing about it was she was working in a pub when we told her this and all the regulars could here it and all joined in, we had her completley convinced, the next morning she was in such a flap as she couldnt find passport, her b/f then had to convince her we were winding her up :D

I like that one - must remember to use that sometime :T :T

What a great ID name as well - someone is bound to 'borrow' that.

    Just remembered this one ....

When my dad died 16 years ago, my mum was a little 'lost' to say the least. About 4 months later my mum's neighbour called Stan, stuck his head over the fence to ask if she wanted her bush trimmed ....................... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

years ago my ex-stepsister went to the zoo with her ex (my nieces dad) and there was a llama there, he told her it was the dalai llama so she went round telling everyone she had seen the dalai llama at the zoo :rotfl:

Here's another one it was used on me and I used it on someone else.

When I first started work in an office, my boss (a more senior secretary) passed me a note and told me to ring the number on the note and ask for a Mr C Lyon - I rang the number, I didnt really listen to what was said when the phone was answered but was told that it wasnt possible to speak to him and that was I aware that I had rung the local zoo:rolleyes:

Talk about gullible I fell for the same trick the next week, different zoo this time and I had to ask for a Mr G Raff.

Guess its the same as being an apprentice and being told to go to stores for a long weight or a tub of elbow grease:rotfl:
