I work in IT for a Spanish Bank and all day we are surrounded by Spanish colleagues most of who speak excellent English.
One guy however is a pain and I overheard someone telling him he could improve his English by mass-debating (think about it) a new word into his conversation every day.:rotfl:0 -

Loving that one!!
I used to have a really annoying colleague who one day moaned at me that the Oxford English dictionary had been re-written and they had started including split infinitives like pic-nic etc which he thought was totally wrong. Anyway he droned on at me about it for hours. After a while, thoroughly fed up with him (now I know I should not have said this!) but I asked him if d**k head was a split infinitive!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014

Just come back from ASDA, met an old school mate who told me an absolute corker ...................
Her MIL has a cat called Muff. MIL and friend had been out in the park when a dog came bounding over and started jumping up them both. "oh, don't worry said MIL, it can obviously smell my muff"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

my ex stepdad in 1988 told a woman he worked with that he was going to be in the olympics for muff diving, she went round telling everyone that a bloke she worked with was going to be in the olypmics,it was only when she got home and told her husband he had to explain what muff diving was :rotfl:The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:
