  • another time (same friend!) when we were in 6th form we told her that they were taking gullible out of the dictionary, she went on this mad rant about how John Major (still pm at the time!) was runining everything and how dare he take words out of the dictionary...she couldnt understand why we were all rolling about laughing

we did this to one of my friends too!!! she didn't believe us and went to get the big dictionary from the bosses desk to check!!

same friend was told by older siblings that she was the free gift from the cornflakes packet - she believed them for years!!

Many years ago I went for a drink with my Dad at the Legion, he only had a couple but all the way home kept telling our friend Steve that he had not got married till he was almost 50.

Me tagging along thoughtfully, says but Dad that make's me illiterate.

He looks at me and says the word is illegitimate, but in your case you could be right.

I did something a lot worse when I was at school - I was about 13 at the time and we had double geography (a subject that I gave up before my O levels). We loathed the teacher who always used to stop in the middle of the lesson to boil the kettle and make himself a drink. His favourite habit was shouting or chucking the board rubber at us so we invariably got our own back. One day one of the lads partly sawed through the back legs of his chair which promptly collapsed when he leaned back:rotfl:

The thing that I did was to fill his kettle before the start of the lesson (I was trying to be teachers pet) and I slipped a few stink bombs in there (I was dared). All was fine until he boiled the kettle and they broke:rotfl: :rotfl: I was accused but I denied it and looked all innocent - god it was awful I so wanted to laugh but didnt dare:rotfl:

We had a needlework teacher once who really loathed me and my mate for some reason so one day she had gone to lunch and had left her cardigan over the back of the chair so we went into the classroom and decided to practice our needlework by sewing up the armholes on both her sleeves!
