I ordered a netbook late last night (10th). Obviously I wasn't expecting it today, but when I looked at the tracking details it says it isn't being despatched until 13th. OK, I can live with that, but then it says the delivery date will be 16th!!!! What is so one day about that?
I would have considered a years subscription to try it out but I have already clicked no as I'm not that impressed that One-Day will take nearly a week.0 -
Amazon prime, next day delivery etc whatever they call it...no no no. We have had stuff taken to the wrong place, take 2 weeks to arrive and on one occassion nothing to turn up, but it was signed for apparently. problem...courier, lowest common denominator. We canceled and will only use Royal Mail, not ideal I know, but it's all about degrees in rip off Britain.
Sorry to sound so cynical, but our experience was dreadful...0 -

There aren't many items under that price, so Amazon Prime means all you are paying for is a faster service. One day instead of 2 or 3 days.
I use Amazon a lot, and I can wait a couple of days extra for my stuff, so Prime is no godd to me.
The free month offer is tempting, though.
I agree with you to a point. I ordered using 4 items using free delivery but when I checked after a few days one item was out of stock and eta on delivery for all items was 2 months away. So I had to cancel an item to get the delivery earlier. I've taken the Prime trial for a month for free and items arrived next day. I've revert back to free del. later but make sure nothing's out of stock. Previously if this happened they delivered partial orders because of the delay (or at least that was my experience).0 -

Am I the only one who's had a poor experience of Amazon Prime? I'm glad the month's trial was free because none of my orders arrived next day or even the day after that.
No I signed up for Prime early December, and I ordered three items (at different times), and only one of them arrived the next day. One of them took about 4 days! I was glad I didn't pay for it!0 -
Maybe it's my age - I remember "it may take up to 28 days for delivery" - or maybe I'm just patient - but I don't see the point of the Amazon next day delivery, especially once you have to pay for it.
I used to order from Amazon regularly even when they had postage charges. I love the free delivery for orders over £15.00 and take advantage of that on every order.
I think that "prime" may have been a step too far.
I never paid for or used "prime" and I hope that Amazon will continue to be my book/game and occasional electrical item supplier for a long time to come.

I have to say that IMO, Amazon have the latest products and are often the cheapest on the market place.
I'm certainly more than happy with them as a company.
In that case, is Martin's advice to SCAM them (after all that what we're advocating here) justified? We're not talking about corrupt banks are we? We're talking about a genuine and honest business that's trying to make it as an on-line retailer.
Just because they are BIG shouldn't make them a target to dishonest individuals who want to abuse the system. This stunt here costs them money (or at least reduces their profit on the transaction).
How ethical is this?
Come on Martin! This is the slippery slope.
Stop noiw before it's too late.

How exactly is this scamming? All he is suggesting is that you use the free trial, a free trial amazon advertise on their website and want people to take up?0
