Whats the point in that0 -
I'm not seeing the free trial offer. I've placed 3 orders with them this year...0

I just went to order something on Amazon and it said i had qualified for this offer. I was a bit dubious at first, some companys take the money even when its a free trial, and i can't afford to lose £49, but so far all seems good. I have just clicked on the tab where you can click if your want your membership to be upgraded after the 30 day trial, obviously i do not. It even lets you include friends in your trial, i have 4 happy friends who are on my account for the 30 days!!!
Great offer from Amazon!!!!0 -

Although not free as such, I have saved much money on Amazon postage over the years. I order something that I want that I know is not currently available (like a dvd that has not yet been released) and then just keep combining any orders that I make with this pending order, thereby getting free super saver delivery on everything, even smaller items (I think the total order has to be above £15.00). This works quite well if you buy a lot from Amazon like me.Vivvy0

I took on the free offer a month ago and have been so impressed with the service that I'm renewing. I buy a huge amount from Amazon, I live in a rural area and often won't get into a big town for months on end. I reckon in the last month I've had 10 deliveries from Amazon, just because if there's something small I want, I don't have to worry about making up the cost to £15 to get the delivery free. I will save loads of money in 12 months with the Prime service and it's all next day delivery too, which is great. Very impressed.0

I'm an avid Amazon purchaser and always make sure I get free delivery on an order, even if I have to wait an extra couple of days, and the postman always leaves the parcel in a safe place if I'm not in.
However, as I needed an order urgently, I took up the Prime offer. Probel was - the order didn't come the following day and when it did, it needed a signature. As I wasn't in, I then had to make a 4 mile trip to the (rather inefficient) local post office to collect the parcel and finally got it 4 days later!
As the same thing happened on the following 2 orders, I cancelled Prime (with no problem) and have reverted to my usual, no delivery charge system.
Good idea but just be aware.0
