Why didn't you ask the courier to redeliver?

Courier sounds like a good thing to me, what with RM being so unreliable.

    oh rly?
given prime is sent with special delivery is sent via RM
    how are you classing unreliable?

Hey hang on a cotton pickin minute! I thought the purpose of a "trial" was to try something out with no obligation. If Amazon are saying this isn't the case then I along with lots of other people have been conned. I only subscribed because MSE Martin suggested it with the point of cancelling before the end of the trial period. I tried the service and didn't like it so I have just set my Amazon account to cancel the automatic upgrade; if they don't then I'll take legal action against them.

    legal action? come on
i like many have used the trial, selected to not auto upgrade and have had a trouble free 'free' month

Because they don't always send it special delivery.

+ what with the RM being as useless as it is, I'm far happier having a courier thankyou very much, about 25% of the time we have a parcel delivered, the door isn't rung but a slip saying we weren't in magically drops through the door. Sooner the sell the whole lot off the better :)

BTW I use Amazon prime about 4-5 times a week, believe me about the RM ;)

amazon prime is send by SD only
so your complaint lies with amazon

as for selling the whole lot off. i wont even rise to it
if its privitised then good luck to you all.

No - my complaint lies with RM - Amazon always send it on time, I get a little note from them telling me it was sent. And they don't always send with SD, they often use couriers for example, in fact if you order between about 4:30pm and 6 pm (the cut off for Prime) you always get a courier.

no need to rise to it - I'm certain that my packages would be delivered better if they went via courier than with RM however, no courier has ever dropped a note through the door and pretended to ring the bell - unlike RM all the time :)

so if they dont send it SD then how are you getting the next day service as stipulated under prime?
  • The whims of RMs 'first class' service, as far as I can see - but either they don't send them all SD / courier for the later ones *OR* RM's SD isn't as good as it's made out to be.

sorry but now you are babbleing
if amazon send them SD then thats how they are handled and delivered
there is no next day 1st class service.there is a target of next day of about 96% which is independently verified.many mse'ers are on the panels that supply this data
so again if amazon are not sending your prime items via SD then your complaint is with amazon.
for non next day deliveries amazon use many services including TNT downstream access mail

perhaps you should start your own thread so you can have a full on whine

Babbleing? Whining? No need to get personal, it's just the RM, not some sort of sacred cow.

My complaint is *not* with Amazon, Amazon do just fine in my book (ha! a pun :) ), and every time an item gets sent by courier I get it fine, RM however... that's a different matter.

They pretend they have tried to deliver stuff

    1st Class takes 2-3 days

They ignore emails to their sorting office asking them to redeliver.

I definitely do not get 96% next day with first class, I'd say it was closer to 50%, maybe that's just the area I'm in but still that's what I experience and as I say I use Amazon Prime about 5 times a week and couriers maybe 3 times a week. I also have to send out other correspondence on an almost daily basis. My partner runs her own ebay business and uses RM daily, she finds them to be nothing but unreliable, they constantly break parcels and then expect you to wait months for a refund.

Good riddance RM, I hope TNT guts you.

Amazon prime however - bringing this discussion full circle - is awesome - I heartlily recomend it for anyone who uses Amazon more than a couple of times a month, especially good for households with multiple Amazon users.

so basically your comment on Rm has nothinmg to do with prime?
if your items are going via prime they go by SD
if your partner has so many issues with RM then why not use a courier 100%?
why not send your correspondence via courier? perhaps since TNT have a licence to deliver mail you should contact them directly to deliver your correspondance?
