  • Well this morning was a disaster no real interest and no orders. There was only about 8 mums and I was unable to do any games, a makeover/facial or even any hand massages :(. I am back again tomorrow when its at its busiest so will take a washing up bowl and at least do some massages. I think I might even charge £2 to raise something. Ill be in a different room but its the one people go through when they go in and out of the building so hope that helps.

Have a "real" party on Friday and another on "Sat" so hopefully things will be better for that.

  • Oh that's a shame hun hope tomorrow is much better for you!!!

Charging for the massages is a great idea and as someone mentioned about it gives you longer to talk about parties and recruiting.

can i ask how many drops you had to do round your streets to make £250 of orders? Did you add flyers to your catalogues or samples to prompt them to order? Only asking as I wasn't convinced that catalogue drops worked but obviously they do!

    Hi katecj2008,
I'd love to get that letter as well.
Did you have more success in some places, or did the orders come from everywhere?
  • Wow, my order from Vista Print came three days ago. Under a week of ordering on the 21 day delivery - and it is all fantastic stuff. I am ordering my Christmas Cards from there today!

How did the first parties go last night girls?????

i have heard of probs with Vista Print. Did you order the free cards? I heard that money comes out of people's accounts every month even though they only ordered free business cards. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=202892

First party went pretty well considering on 5 of the 12 confirmed guests actually turned up!
2 pre-orders gave me a grand final total of £296
I was given some of the free and half price shopping by my lovely hostess to add stuff to my kit with.
Got a party at my own house tomorrow which I predict will be terrible, home ones usually are! No one I invited can come, I have my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law and a few of their friends. May be OK, here's hoping!

Keeping Positive, I'm sorry to hear it didn't go too well yesterday, those things are often hit and miss, better luck next time, you never know x

I've been using them for nearly a year with no trouble. I check what I'm signing up to on don't tick boxes to sign myself up to stuff I don't want. If you pay attention you'll be fine!

Doing ring-backs at the moment, my AM has given me people to ring who had parties last year around this time. Only called 5, 2 not in, 1 number not recognised, 1 lady about to go into labour! And 1 lady who asked me to drop off some more info for her, she only lives around the corner so will do that later. Any ideas on what "bumpf", as she put it, I should give her? Catalogue, brochure, flyer, samples?

  • Hi Gill37

Oh dear, I didn't know this, I paid with my paypal account, so will have to check it. I did check what I had ordered was all free, so that I only paid P&P and I didn't tick any boxes to sign up for anything else, so I hope that I will be ok.

    Thanks for alerting me though.
