  • Looking forward to meeting you tonight Alli. Roped my Neice into doing it. I fully intend to get the £425 aim £1000 minimum really. Lets hope people arent put off by all this talk of the credit crunch..

Eli - thanks for explaining it. You put it so much better than I did. Lookslike you have two eager recruits looking to get you a makeup box. Thanks for the catalogues they have been handy.

  • Not sure I think training varies for each region. We only need them for 1 week out of two. Try emailing your AM just in case Im sure they would have said something though.

  • Ragz, don't worry about taking a model to training. If you haven't been told that you need one then you don't need to worry. Every region is different in the way they do their initial training so just do as you are told by the people who will be training you and don't worry what other people do.
Even in midlands and wales region I did my training 5 weeks ago and didn't require a model, just practiced on another girl who was there for training then we swapped. It did take ages though because we effectively had to do the training twice over so I think that taking a model would get you home quicker.
Anyway, as I said, training is different depending which region you are in and what the policy is there so just do as you're told and if you haven't been asked for a model then don't worry about providing one.

I never did, just turned up and the AM's practised and showed us on each other. I did a facial on one of the AM's but i didn't have to complete training before i got signed up anyway.

Thanks again everyone for your help. I have been speaking (by email) to a Lady I met through Freecycle about having a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (both her GDs have CF) and I am hoping to organise one for some point in November. Can I just ask a few questions to those of you who have already done a fundraiser?
Do you think it is better to do it at the weekend or a weekday, and daytime or evening?
Also, how do you go about getting people's orders to them? Do you charge them all £5 postage or deliver them? If you charged the postage you wouldn't be able to put it through as one order would you? Then you wouldn't get Host free shopping. Do you see what I mean?
Sorry for all the questions, I haven't even started yet and I'm raring to go!! (Can you tell??)
    Thanks all x

I'm from Pembrokeshire, Wales and there is noone else in the whole of the County (well, there are obviously other people here :rotfl: but no other BSAH people!!!!!!!!!!!)
So just got to get ringng round and begging all my friends to have a party so I can book those first 6!! Shouldnt have much of a prob with that tbh! Going to send a msg to everyone on my facebook list too!!
So, was just wondering what can i expect from training and my starter kit etc?!?!

    Thanks!!!!!

  • Hello Welshgirl - if you are the only one then at least theres no competition!

Ragz - ref postage I think you can only haveone delivery either to yourself or the hostess then the orders get handed out. You will have to arrange with the hostess on how best to get the goods out. Hope it goes well. I am doing two but they will be my first so dont know whats best yet.

Well done Welshgirl! Welcome to the team! (I'm Welsh too but live in Sussex)
You're lucky with your AM, I had to have my parties sent off before mine would accept my registration and send my kit out. There's a picture of the kit on the Body Shop At Home site if you want to have a look. From what I can gather it's a full collection of the Vit E range and a lot of the Vit C stuff, then a few things from the most popular ranges along with you business tools etc.
Just realised you'd have got all this info from your AM with your SS stuff anyway so not much help, sorry!

  • I have 2 fundraisers coming up and was wondering the same. I think im just gonna do it as one big order (so i get the free shopping) and send it to the ladies who are organising it and leave it to them to distribute it. Can't see any other way around it?
