  • :rotfl: I guess you do know her then!!!

Don't think she would appreciate you nicking me then, is Lisa your area manager? If so you will be in my team lol so if you have any tips etc it would me much appreciated. Have you got many parties coming up and how are things generally for you?

    Thanks so much,

    Fiona x
  • No im not in Lisa's team, im in Ellens but they work together as Ellen was in Lisa's before she was promoted out lol.

I can pinch you thats fine, makes no odds to Lisa lol plus i'll make it worth your while like i said!!!!!!!!!! Plus Ellen 's team is better and more helpful as not as many of us. We all do our tarining together still.

I've got 6 parties in Oct and 2 in Nov so far, im doing really well and really enjoying it!

  • Hey ladies,

wow i couldnt believe how many pages more there has been since i was on last week.
Good to see this thread is doing well, can barely remember half the queries that have been asked.lol.

The topic of public liability, iv been doing this for over 2 years and still havnt got round to public liability insurance, if you want it, you just get it for yourself it isnt a company thing, its to cover you. So just search the web and find the best quote/company.

For those having fundraisers in there first 6 parties, nothing wrong with that at all. I do a fundraiser every year, my own fiundraiser, i do it in a local hall that i get for free and this year im selling tickets at 50p a ticket.
Then doing a raffle and donating 10% of sales to the charity.
I have never managed to get bookings on the nights of my fundraiser but never say never, iv had ladies contact me later on and book parties but thats only happened once. lol.
I do it for the sales, as i do it as a giant body shop party and give one person a facial/makeover/pamper depending on what i want to do.

The query over needing a printer, i couldn't live without mine, i made my partner get us one, i lasted 6 months without one but needed it. Like others have said i use mine to print off posters/ stock sheet which you should take to every party.
In fact the biggest piece of advice i can give to every new consultant who has never done a christmas with body shop, before evry party PLEASE print off the up to date stock sheet!!! and check every order you get against the stock sheet. Please ladies learn from my past mistakes,:o hopefully this year the stock will be good over the christmas period but things go out of stock quickly, sometimes they come back in and sometimes they dont.
So if you remeber anything remember to print off those stock sheets.

    Luv H xxx
  • Hi guys, I don't want to sound like a really annoying person but recently I've been getting quite a few PMs from people who have not signed up and posted on this board but come straight to me saying something along the lines of 'I've just registered as a consultant, tell me everything you know'.

As many people who have PMd me will know I'm not adverse to helping anyone whether in my team or not but PLEASE read the board and if you do want to ask something in a PM make it a specific question e.g. 'please can I have the games you mentioned, my e-mail is...' or some other specific question. If it's general 'I've just signed up and want tips' then read the thread and post on the thread.

I hope that doesn't offend anyone, and it's not really aimed at the people who actually post on the board but I don't know where else to put a message like this.

While we're on the topic of manners though, why don't we all use the 'thanks' buttons more? if you read something interesting or useful then tap that little button, if you respond to someone's offer of e-mailing something then thank them. A little kindness costs nothing and goes a long way.

Sorry for the rant, just getting a bit fed up.

Hi elliep! Totally get what you're saying and not offended at all. BTW I was using the thanks button for the first few pages I read through, then it stopped working for me for some reason, think it's back now tho. Thankyou for the info you sent me and I hope I didn't pester you too much!

  • Hi Ragz
All the information that I've given you has been on the public board and I'm very happy to help anyone, what sparked the other post was the 3rd PM in 2 days from someone who hasn't posted on the board saying 'I've just signed up, tell me what to do/everything you know'. I've posted a lot of information on this thread (as have a lot of people) and if anyone has any questions about anything i've said or wants the games that I have offered in a few posts then they are welcome to PM me. Please newbies, don't just use me instead of reading the board though.

Ragz, the note about the thanks button wasn't for you, you're VERY good at using it when you see something useful!

Yeah that'd annoy me too, if people can't be arsed to read the thread and at least say hi and thanks then why should you go out of your way to help them. Found my thanks button working again! I try to only thanks posts I feel need it, if you go around thanking everyone for everything I think it means less.

My AM is sending off my forms today as I got my 6 by last night (the lovely Lesley is giving me a free body butter for my hard work!). So will hopefully get my kit by the end of the week, training all day Saturday, luckily only about 5 miles down the road. Will be my only one as my first party is on the 11th.
Really nervous that I won't make the sales targets as quite a few of my parties are mates doing me a favour and they and all their friends are skint at the mo so just hope I have a few really good parties to balance it out. I don't plan to stop at those 6 though, hoping to get a few beeter parties in that time to bumpup my sales, just wanted to get my 6 in asap to get xmas stuff. Which looks great!!
Has anyone got their september kit yet? What's the xmas stuff like??

I am thinking about joining BSAT (either that or Ann Summers) but I'm a bit worried about how I would get parties. I don't really have many friends :o or a lot of family. I don't know how I would manage to get parties, otherwise I'd love to do it.

Was anyone in the same position as me when they joined?
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

I have only just started myself, so aren't really that good at giving advice. But I think you can go into the Body Shop stores to try and get bookings. Or even advertise in the local paper or in local businesses.

Hope it all goes well for you.

I have been struggling to get 6 parties, but had one myself. I've not done my first party yet, so am really nervous. And I didn't get my cue cards in my kit so I will have to try and get some sent to me.

I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm scared to death cos I'm quite shy.

P.S. If anyone in the North West area fancies joining as a consultant, give me a shout and I'll sign you up.
