  • Hi Ragz

Have you not been told about your 6 week success start? If not then PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you a PDF of the leaflet.

Basic run down is that you have 6 weeks from your registration date to sell as much as you can and earn extra prizes. If you sell £700 you get Almond hand care stuff and Moringa set, if you sell £1000 you get the above and some Spa Wisdom and Mango stuff and if you sell £1600 you get all the above as well as some Wise Woman and T-Tree stuff. Also, if you recruit someone in your first 6 weeks then if they sell £425 by the end of their first 6 weeks then you get a lovely big black make-up box. (go on Alli and Wendy, I'm counting on one of you to get my box!)

The first 6 weeks is called your success start and is designed to give you the best possible start to your business. It runs alongside all other offers and deals etc (e.g. I sold over £700 in Sept so I get the Sept prizes and it also counts towards my success start, minimum of the £700 level with a week to go and a few more parties.)

Hi Ellip, yeah I was told about the success start I just didn't understand what KP meant by getting the maximum period. I also thought it may be 6 weeks from my first party, but obviously not, so I guess I only really have 4 weeks too. Serves me right for wanting the Christmas stuff so badly! Thanks for your help.

Just another quick question. Has anyone done leafleting and has it ever got you any parties? I was going to do my street, just to see what happens...

  • When reffering to getting the most of her success start KP just meant that she delayed her actual registration for a couple of days. In our region you have to be registered before you can do training, KP registered yesterday because her training will be today and next tuesday so all she meant by maximising the success start was that she didn't want to waste days at the beginning before she'd done the training. So now she's registered and will have finished training next tuesday she will only have lost the first week and no more.

Keeping Positive, I hope you don't mind me sharing that? and feel free to correct me if I've made any incorrect assumptions

Thanks EllieP I get it now, kind of wish I'd delayed mine a bit but had to get in for the xmas stuff and my training is this saturday, First party is the 11th and I signed up (officially) yesterday so I suppose my 6 weeks runs out early november. My 6 parties in 3 weeks ends 30th of October so I have another week to try and get more sales in. That's good actually, I was worried I'd have to try and get £600 or £1000 sales from my first 6, which at this rate I'll be lucky to even make £425. All mmy mates are so skint!
I'm thinking of asking the Landlord of the pub that my OH gardens for if I can do one there, what shall I offer him?? He won't want the free shopping! I could have that and offer him 10% of sales, is that allowed? or maybe I could pay to hire a bit of the bar and order nibbles etc? Then I'd be stuffed if I no one came!
    Any advice greatly received!

Hi all, hope you are all well. Ragz, its easier than you think to make the £425. Ive had one party this month and my friend did a party in a bag for me and thats taken me to the £450s. Not had a fabulous month, but then october is picking up and november is fabulous at the mo! You will find towards xmas more and more people will book with you. Ive had a lot of people say 'well i will have a party but can we do it closer to xmas?' which is fine. Ive got around 6 parties booked for november! Just ask anyone and everyone, even the lady at the checkout at your local shop or supermarket. I should think it ok to ask your pub landlord. Just remember though that the 10% will come out of your comission. But you get the free shopping lol so in my eyes you cant really lose out.

    Speak soon,
    Monica x

Thanks Monica, I know that it would come out of my commission, as you said I would hope for the free shopping to compensate! Just wondered if it was "OK" to do that, I have no idea what the rules are but I guess if it's my commission I can do what I like with it!
    Thanks for your help x

  • Yep it's your commission and up to you what you do with it. That's the way that fundraisers work too, and if you're clever with it you can order some of the customer's orders with the free shopping and the half price shopping and even after giving the pub 10% you can still get more than 25%.

whoa - not been on a few days - lots to catch up on!

well i've got my second training session tonight (facials and makeup - have roped my poor mum in to be my model!!) and hopefully am getting my kit today - so excited about that!!

then its my first party on saturday - am intending to get sucess start level 3 so hopefully you'll get your makeup box elliep!!
  • What is your personal opinion of the natural minerals make-up, I havn't seen any of it yet, still awaiting my kit but I was quite excited about it. Do you deffinitely need the brush or is that BS sell, I havn't had any training yet either so would appreciate your views.

    Fiona x

    Hi Fiona,

No the BS is't just trying to make people spend more, you do need the brushes to use the mineral make-up as they are designed specifically to hold the make-up. A normal make-up brush won't hold onto the powder so you would end up using 3x as much. You can buy a foundation, blusher, eye shadow and all the 3 brushes on kit build for £25 which is fab. I have sold quite a bit of it and it's great to use on make-overs! But don't do what i did and take the sticky thing of the top which acts as a barrier ( you'll know what i mean when you see it) as it goes everywhere!

Lisa has all the make-up anyway so you can always borrow hers.

Think i may have a go of the party in a bag as know a few people who don't have time for a party but are desperate for some products. What samples does everyone put in? I mean do you use sample pots and put creams etc in, what do you do to sample the make-up stuff??
